That goal on his left on the run from 50 was classy. He's unobtrusively good.

It’s interesting. Media will talk about him being overpaid etc and then that you have to pay an extra $100-150K to get a FA out of a club. How good is it having a guy who simply doesn't make mistakes.
He's obscenely clean. Every time the ball goes near him, you just feel so safe knowing that he's gonna compete hard, choose the right option, and execute.
He's the definition of reliability, and everything he does is just so god damn correct. He even makes a left footed finish from 50 on the run look routine.
Fly would love him to bits - he just plays the system, nothing flashy, but always effective. Every. Single. Time.
I remember him being a pain in the ass during the 2023 prelim. Just kept popping up in the backline in the 4th quarter when we were pressing.I wonder if we scouted Perryman and decided that his ability to play whatever role is needed at a high level and to be that system player that can play multiple roles is absolutely worth the additional salary as it will deliver us wins.

He's just solid and perfoms any role - defense, midfield and forward - asked of him to a high level. Honest as the day is long in his effort and extremely sound decision making and skill execution. It’s interesting. Obviously not as good, but he reminds me of the latter part of Jimmy Bartel's career. Just a really strong smart player who does everything well - like he's straight from a coaching manual of what to do in every situation. If Crispy has always been "steak knives" then Pez just has to be WEC
(Worth Every Cent)
Good comparison. Trying to think of some other ones myself… Boak, Cotchin, Dal Santo, Corey, Power, Burns, Pendles? I think Bartel might be the most apt, though.Obviously not as good, but he reminds me of the latter part of Jimmy Bartel's career. Just a ripping footballer. No fuss, strong, skilled, good size, smart. Love himObviously not as good, but he reminds me of the latter part of Jimmy Bartel's career. Similarly to Bartel insofar as not being nearly as good, but he reminds me a bit of Luke Hodge (maybe it's the #12).Good comparison. Trying to think of some other ones myself… Boak, Cotchin, Dal Santo, Corey, Power, Burns, Pendles? I think Bartel might be the most apt, though.
Pez seems to do all he does without any real physical advantages. He’s just average or slightly above in most aspects, but his decision-making, composure and toughness are close to elite. Combined with having no real weaknesses, that makes for a very effective and reliable player!
Probably should have spelt out my stupid thought process, being 12 looks like 15 at a glance on field.Luke Hodge didn't wear number 12

Love Pez!“I love playing down back to be honest,” he said.
“Everyone thinks I came here to play midfield, but I like playing down back just as much.
“I’m filling in the holes and think I’ve got that sort of flexibility in my game. ‘Fly’ (McRae) is happy to play me wherever so long as we’re getting the wins.”

Bit of WHE about him. Ultimate role player.Love Pez!
He's the ultimate, no fuss, plug and play, get it done footballer.
Bit of WHE about him. Ultimate role player.
Yep agreeBit of WHE about him. Ultimate role player.
. I've always thought he was our next Swiss army knife.Good call, slightly classier and stronger in the grunt work, but doesnt have the forward craft and leap like WHE. I reckon both of them are first in the first few on the team sheet when fit, super versatile and coaches dream
