Harves decision! to send a B team over to tassie a couple of weeks ago, in my book is the greatest strategic move ever in our clubs short history.
Old Gary Lion must searching for a rock to crawl under now.I can't think of one scribe backing Harves decision.Good onya Harves you are a bloody legend. He just does what he thinks is right for FREOOOO!!!!:thumbsu:

yes FAL i was just thinking the same thing tonight! lyon saying it was unaustralian, jackovich saying we couldnt be in the right mindset (he said this at least 100 times on the radio) we couldnt adapt to all the changes etc. just shows you how much these 'experts' know in the end.

harves decision to drop haselby and jvb for silvagni and cricton was also a great move.

also if what im hearing that tarrant is going back to melb is true, after harves turned his career around by putting him down back and persisting with him... and he cant even stick around for another 12 months in the twilight of his career??? if it wasnt for harves no one would even want him! it just shows you what type of a person he is and im sure the footy gods will right the ledger!

go freo ill be there on friday night.:thumbsu:

Shouldn't judge him on matters of the heart. If Tarrant secures us the highest pick possible, he'll be a bloody legend. How many guys this close to retirement are worth a pick, that is like getting a kid under the father son rule.

this should probably be in another thread but what exactly is tarrant going back for? i heard something about his mrs wanting to go home?

lets hope tarrant does the right thing by freo and is involved in a trade becasue and please correct me if im wrong that because tarrant is out of contract he could do a josh carr and wait to be picked up by someone else and if he nominates a high price that might be his way to to get to his desired melbourne club.

She returned to Melbourne, already left AFAIK. Her career is in Melbourne as a model, plus she earns more than him in modelling contracts. Pretty sure she was homesick as well.

long distance relationships really suck and rarely work out well, so he has to make a choice. Freo has been good for him and he has been good to Freo.

He is a great player, still has something to offer and I'm sure that he'll look for the best deal all round, or stay. Apparently his manager is talking with GC now as well. A first round compensation pick would be a great pick up for a 29 year old who's career may be over in 2 years. With Solly already there, I would think this is a very likely move.

His wife absoloutely hated it here and was desperate to return him...so she did (I belive you're right, Paul). I've heard if he can't get a move that suits him perfectly (a Melbourne club, almost certainly one in contention) he'll just retire, but I sure as hell hope that is wrong.

As for the topic of this thread, yes! Even if we'd lost to Carlton last week and got pumped in Sydney tomorrow, I'd still have stood by the decision. He played the percentages knowing it gave us the best opportunity to do this, and it was always clear he was right.
