Has Brent Tuckey been elevated?

Well has he? He's been quite impressive and is a genuine utility player, playing forward, ruck and CHF for us. He's also a handy goal scoring option:

Wizard Cup:

vs Blues - 3 goals
vs Richmond - 1 goal
vs Geelong - 2 goals

Practice matches:

vs Bombers - 1 goal
vs Kangaroos - 1 goal

Total - 8 goals from 5 games not always playing forward. Quite good if you ask me. We only need him as a utility player and he does that quite well.

As I missed all the sports news during the week, has he been elevated? I understood that if he was to take the veterans spot, it had to be done before yesterdays preseason GF?

He was elevated a while ago, but not for the veterans spot if you remember, it was for chad morrison who is on the long term injury list until about round 5. I would guess when he comes back on Tuckey will go on for phillip read, who will move to the long term injury list....again

Tuckey has earned a place in the starting 22, i think the club will look at elevating him permanently for sure
