How did people who watched the game rate his performance?
Take any strong marks?

Is he a chance after a strong game by Lonergan?

I cant understand why Byrnes came in for Mackie....it was the perfect opportunity to give Hawkins a crack and see if he could possibly do some damage in September....opportunity lost big time.

The decision has been made. Lonnergan will be the 2nd choice KP forward for the finals after Mooney. There was no point in playing Hawkins yesterday - it would have only given him false hopes of making the side next week.

Yeah i realise that, but we were playing the Eagles so structure didnt matter too much i wouldn't have thought....the win was guaranteed.

Not really a realistic test, he would've played on a better defender in the VFL anyway!

Don't see why we would drop Lonergon at this stage. He is doing very well and deserves a premiership medal around his neck.

But then again we dropped Blake last year, so there you go.

I reckon if the weather was fine on Saturday we would have had a look at him. If he had marked strongly and kicked a few, there would have been an interesting decision to make.

Seems now he will be on standby for injury/suspension replacements.

The problem for Hawkins now is that the VFL team is out of the finals and only being back for 3 weeks from injury he can not afford to miss match fitness.

Hard to see him getting in from this position. Lonergan has been fantastic, done everything asked of him without fail.
