Looks like we are about to go with Adidas after all these years with Puma.

WHILE an official announcement is likely to be left until later this year, Hawthorn is believed to have signed a new sponsorship and apparel deal with adidas.

It brings to an end a partnership with Puma that has lasted more than 30 years and, because of the history involved, has always been more than just a straight commercial deal for the Hawks.

With Adidas losing Collingwood, you can bet they would have been very aggressive in trying to replace the lost business.

I am sure it will be a win for the club.

I'm not a fan of the Adidas guernseys.

No doubt. The words lucrative have been used once or twice when describing this deal.

I'm sure Adidas are salivating at the thought of all the Buddy and Cyril guernseys they'll be moving.

Are Puma involved with any other clubs?

West Coast.

Lot of goodwill in that deal with Puma they have been kitting us out to some extent since Peter Hudson was playing hope they got a good deal.Be interesting to see if Adidas change our design of guernsey.I've always thought a predominately brown with gold stripes would look effective for a change.(similar to the design of the predominately black Collingwood strip) with slightly thinner stripes like Port Melb.

Great news for the club.. Although I never put much thought into it, I think we've become accustomed to seeing the puma logo on our gear!

Means bargains for the fans, and a (presumably) quality deal for the club! :thumbsu:

Should be plenty of bargains to be had from Hawks Nest at year's end!

LOL, I already have 4 jumpers, dont think the missus would miss seeing even more Hawks gear in the cupboard....

...but if they go and change the design like someone else mentioned grrrrr !!

Collingwood are starting their own clothing brand. So they are going with themselves.....

I have to admit I've always liked the way Adidas did the Collingwood jumpers. I'd like us to have something like theirs, just with our colours (obviously). I particularly like how their jumpers don't have a giant white square on the back for the number.

All that said, I am quite a big fan of our new clash strip. I would not like us to adopt the Collingwood approach to clash strips. Not that our standard jumper really clashes with anything.

Who are Collingwood going with?

Collingwood are starting their own clothing brand. So they are going with themselves.....

They're offering their cheersquad members $4/hr manufacturing jobs, to complement their centrelink paycheques, in their manufacturing warehouse within the lexus centre to produce them. They will pay cash in hand and all workers will be entitled to pinch a guernsey when the security cameras are turned off.

I always thought the relationship between and us was partly due to Peter Knight's involvement. Maybe he has retired.

I can tell you TH that Knights was still working at the club 2 weeks ago.
He was in the shop when I was there.
