yes but the bloody video doesn't work for half of us! i'll just have to wait until someone with skill puts it on youtube!..... thanks in advance to whoever does it!
If I knew i'd do it for ya, plus my home PC has been destroyed by a virum.

Odds on CC or cmnd will do it as their pretty savy with that stuff.

I'm glad they're doing that, but it's impossible to work out who is who when it is just a wide-shot.

Apart from the stop start nature of the feed and no sound, it was actually wonderful to watch. If we played every game like that we'll win! :D Of course when ANY team watched their highlights package they look a million bucks! :p Still and all, some really positive signs.

Some of the ball movement was brilliant to watch.
Still, can't take too much from it. It's a lot easier to move the ball like that when you're playing against a much weaker side, a large percentage of whom would have bugger all familiarity with the Hawks' gameplan, given that they were VFL players. We were trying to do the exact same thing against Geelong in week one and looked crap.
It's nice to watch, but we'll see how it looks in Round 1.

Tex is a star.

Definitely looks like Reilly's put on a bit of bulk there, thought he was Rutten for a second when went for a run.

Was also pleasant to see Hentschel kick a few goals, its great to have a couple of blokes (him and Walker) who are actually clever footballers and smart around goals, ie see Hentschel cooly slot 2 checkside type goals. Both he and Walker "know" what to do with the ball around goals, Porplyzia is probably the only other player we have with such a natural knowledge of forward line play.

Big thanks for the upload. For those of us who are unable to watch it on the AFC website, it is very much appreciated!!:thumbsu:

Interesting ball movement there. Granted the opposition was fairly poor, but there is obvious shades of the 05 'Rugby-styled' gameplan in place.
The 5-6 players all rebounding from defence, sharing the ball by handball is great to watch, and can be really effective in breaking the zones.
Noticed a couple of players in those passengers of play, ran the length of the ground despite not getting a touch; exactly the effort you want to see your players putting in (as long as it doesn't effectively leave us players short in defence).

Also looking forward to a year with Tex and Rowdy in the forward line!
How nice it is to have natural forwards up there for a change...

Gee its been quite a while (a decade???) since i've seen a leading contested mark like that in our forward line at the 2.40 mark. Walker had no right to mark that :D

I wonder if the club would be happy to set up an account on Youtube, and upload those videos for the benefit of those who cannot watch it. I can't see why the wouldn't.

Not only that - but they'd be able to upload in a higher resolution!

Hey, you're welcome :)

Yeah, it was exciting to watch the ball movement, but hard to imagine it working very well against the kind of opposition who will chase hard and put pressure on. But if they can make it work it's very exciting.

As are Walker and Hentschel, boy I'm looking forward to watching them this year :)

I feel sorry for poor mini #44 trying to spoil tippett!

I thought gallman was #34?

Otten is far too tall. I keep thinking he's Maric!

So does the advertiser they have had him down in the goalkickers over the preseason. despite the fact he has not played.

They have not cottened on to the fact cook is playing in #34.

Thanks for that stabby :) The handball plays looked awesome and damn cook is a quick bugger! Hopefully we can pull some of this off vs Collingwood and cause an upset!

I went to the AFC web site and clicked to play the replay. After 5 minutes of waiting for it to download, I went to BF thinking someone might have youtubed it.
Clicked the link, hit play and watched it. Thanks Stabby. I reckon you should take over at Bigpond Video,or at least get a consultancy and show them how to do it!
Yeah, that ball movement has been a feature of the last couple of games and we also tried it on against the All-Stars, but it was too wet.
I think we are in for an exciting year the way the forwards are shaping up. When that movement comes off, there won't be too many Crows fans sitting in their seats at the ground or at home.

I enjoyed Knights goal on the run from 45m

Excited about the Tippett, Walker, Hentchel combination

even taking into consideration the quality of the opposition some of our ball movement and run from the back half was 1st class

My advice for them would be to scrap the whole bigpond video bullshit system. It's the streaming video version of their crappy AFL website that requires a supercomputer to run efficiently and regularly freezes up every browser ever to exist.

With bigpond video, my freshly installed computer won't even run the videos unless I play them in full screen. In their little window area I just get black.

It's kind of embarassing really.

TSR - How good was Knights' kick for goal, hey? For a guy so constantly hounded for his terrible disposal, that was just a classy kick. Hopefully a sign of things to come! :thumbsu:
