Best for Hawthorn was probably Hodge(again), Williams, Smith and Miller (3 goals). Skills were scratchy at times but alot of positives be gained again form a Hawthorn perspective. Played hard and kept fighting.
Yeah Buddy played and was the talk of the town from Hawk supporters. Faded in and out of game showed some breathtaking glimpses of the future at times. Superb kick (although is fairly one-sided), great agility and ball skills and electrifying pace. Good physique for a 17yo too, much better than I expected. Can't wait to see more of him.

I should also have mentioned though 'The Extractor' in the best players. Was superb.Best for Hawks behind Hodgey and Willo.

As an interstater I appreciate this thread and its progressive scores and reports.

I know it's early days, but I just have that feeling that presently we are going past the upward portion of the bottom of the J-curve in the slow progress of turning our club's fortunes around for a degree of success in the not too distant future.

Hope you can understand this as it is the XXXX doing the writing.
