Im sorry to have to say this because i really dont mind Hawthorn as a team, but you guys dont have much of a future, You have only just got a coach who has no experience at all, you have got no captain and you dont have much young talent coming through apart from Luke Hodge who is a ood player but over rated and maybe Harry Miller

You have got a coach who has a soft game plan known not to stand up in finals. Highly paid promoter, but not much of a coach. He's there to sell memberships to the naive. That being you.

You have no captain and you don't have much young talent coming through apart from Mark Coughlin who is a good player but overrated and maybe...nah, just Coughlin.

Daniel Jackson, Brent Hartigan, Andrew Raines, Jay Shultz, Andrew Krakouer,Kelvin Moore, picks 1 and 4.
who else have Hawthorn got aside from Hodge.
weve also got Terry Wallace experienced coach, Greg Miller as footy Manager, youve got Dermet Brereton and a coach with no experience at all

Chance Bateman, Nick Ries, Sam Mitchell, Mark Williams, Harry Miller, Luke Hodge, Michael Osborne, pick 2 and 5, nathan lonie, just to name a few! And your duds, never heard of them?

isnt it true that Mark Williams wants to go to Perth
My players are all still just very young and showing a lot more then, Bateman, Ries, Osbourne, Miller hasnt played seniours yet so there isnt much to be said about him yet.
Honostly wouldnt you rather Greg Miller to rebuild a club then Dermot Brereton and Alasitair Clarkson

None of whom have shown much. Potential? Maybe. But we've got plenty of that too.

picks 1 and 4.
Picks 2 and 5. Rarely much difference between early picks.

who else have Hawthorn got aside from Hodge.
For a start, Mitchell. You know that thing called a Rising Star? He won it last year. I'd rate Bateman ahead of any of the Richmond players you listed too.

weve also got Terry Wallace experienced coach, Greg Miller as footy Manager, youve got Dermet Brereton and a coach with no experience at all
Terry Wallace = highly paid promoter. I wanted Eade, but prefer Clarkson to that money hungry fraud you've got.

Agree on Greg Miller. Brereton is a moron.

You also forgot to mention that you are Richmond. Failure is in the water.

Williams may want to, but hasnt. Bateman has shown more then them aswell. Mitchell is just a $hiteload better than them all. Id rather have some money to keep then spend it all on terry wallet

well i think i would rather Coughlan then most of the players on the hawks list, including hodge dont forget terry wallace is a proven sucessful coach, and greg miller rates all of the names i gave u which is just about the best man in the league to rate players

It seems recently the favourite pastime of Richmond fans is trolling on the Hawthorn Board, so for the benefit of the plethora of "Tigerites" I thought I may just look back over the past 22 years of their history.

Here are the premiership positions finished for each season:
10, 8, 8, 10, 14, 10, 14, 14, 13, 13, 14, 9, 4, 9, 13, 9, 12, 9, 3, 14, 13, 16.

Premierships: Nil

Grand Finals: Nil

Number of times in finals: Two

Brownlow Medallists: Nil

VFL/AFL Top Goalkickers: Nil

Any other honours: Nil

Coaches: 10

Captains: 9

Wooden Spoons: 3

Number of membership cards cut in half: 27,364

Gee, that's every reason to be confident about your future, and certainly explains why you feel you can troll other clubs about their performances

Keep up the good work Tigers ... what a wonderful club you are.

Hahaha, one of the best comebacks to someone i have seen! Id love to see the Hawks comparison to the Tigers tho..

So proven and so successful, I see. The list he left behind at the Bullies (a team of lightweight undersized short people) is a testament to his greatness. Please point out his successes. Before you do that, just remember Frawey and Schwab coached sides to a PF.

Terry Wallace has achieved no more than Frawley or Schwab as coach. His last two years at the Bulldogs saw them underachieve and miss the 8. His game plan revolves around a bunch of skinny downhill skiers, and has come unstuck under finals pressure.

Great to see Richmond supporters still have such low standards of "success."

P.S. Adelaide Hawk = comeback of the year.

As requested, here is Hawthorn's record for the corresponding period (1983 to 2004)

Premiership positions from each season:

1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 1, 1, 5, 1, 6, 6, 7, 15, 8, 15, 13, 9, 6, 4, 10, 9, 15.

Premierships: 5

Grand Finals: 8

Number of seasons in finals: 15

Brownlow Medallists: 3

VFL/AFL Top Goalkicker: 3

Night Premierships: 6

Norwich Rising Stars: 2

Other Achievements: Too many to mention

Coaches: 5

Captains: 6

Wooden Spoons: NIL

A little better than Richmond's record over the past 22 years, I think you will agree. :)

Not much point having any players if you can't afford to pay them!
$3M in debt with another $2m+ loss this year?? And we don't have a future????
Oh yeah, sorry. You've got a coach who you're spending $3m over 5 years on, despite what I wrote above.

Yep - priorities are just rosy at Richmond!

i see he's stopped replying as a result of being shot down.....

hawks last 22 yrs v tiges last 22 yrs = slaughter....

Great comparison Adelaide Hawk!!

although the last 10 years premiership position doesn't sit well with me when it's staring you in the face like that  , especially comparing it against the first 10!!

Hopefully 2005 will be a single digit! :)

I agree, our most recent 8-10 years haven't been all that flash and we need to improve quickly.
