Yeah there’s become quite a gap in the leagues not really worth comparing anymore

I've only followed for the past two years but I'd say juniors struggling in the District league is starting to hurt them. They had two years off footy in Victoria and Pimp have won 4 U17 flags in a row now, there's not too many young stars in the District league.I didn't get to see HB at all this year, but based on the comments I'm inclined to agree. So why has the gap between the leagues increased? Wimmera improving as the teams have become more even? District league just dropping a bit comparatively? Local talent moving to the higher league for a challenge? Or is the higher league maybe bringing in more eccentric external top end talent?
Is the cap and point system working well locally perhaps?

Obviously can't get the top end players like the Wimmera but the depth isn't there, Southern Roos get more out of their outside/role players than the other clubs I've watched.
Surely the Melbourne demons player rumours are not true. Marty hore has been linked to cashed up north central clubs and harrow wouldnt be able to match that. Wouldn’t think billing’s would come down and neither would Fullerton who’s originally from qld. The other 3 are all 21 or younger and would have to be stupid to come play for the strongest team in one of the worst leagues in the state over having more of a crack at state league and afl football.
Also hearing cultural problems at quanny relating to coach damien CameronI think we could see a huge fall off in NQ twos next year as you would think some of the older boys they have running around are sure to retire and i hear rumours that they will be losing Carra, Pumpa and Ellis, they might not be the team to beat next year
did the league do a team of the year
Any details on what's wrong? They've already re-signed Cameron as coach and had previously heard he was thought highly of - unless the issues stem elsewhere?couldn't be a worser club to be at then quanny next year. terrible culture.
Radio did one Saturday morning. Mostly mids across the whole groundHaven't seen one.
Word on the street is Lupton is chasing some even more money and that is situated down at dock lake... Pumpa a possibility to join him to get those 1's games he's been after?
where are the lakers finding the money if its tru about Rats?
Logan Millar and some other players from this year could also depart freeing up more cash to go after ratsYou’d think Taylor’s would have the money. Lost beugelaar as a coach and summerhayes which would free up a bit of coin and surely they had some left over anyway. If they were blowing the budget just to field the team they did this year they may as well fold now. Have heard beugelaar may not have been on as much as you’d think though
have heard that Baker is on over a grand a game! Crazy money for someone who only got in their best 3 times this season. It’s crazy how average footballers can come into this league, demand a few hundred bucks a game and get it. Not helping the league at all.
