As a player, I have always hated him. But I don't see why he was booed today. I believed him during the whole sledging thing last week. I don't blame him for belting Selwood and if he got off at the tribunal, that's not his fault, it's the tribunals. Played well today too. I still hate him though.

Des played well today. I always thought Webster should play over him.

Des playing today was mayb a bit slack by the tribunal. But given the week he had, i didnt understand how melbourne supporters could b so cold.

He lost all credibility with me however, after the whole sledging thing, when he decided that his sacred tattoo wasn't precious enough to use to stick it up the oppositions fans. Poor form I thought.

He's had a good week, he's lied, made death threats and belted up a bloke and got away with it.

It doesn't rank anywhere near the most farcical crowd booing ever.

Remember when James Hird sledged the umpires and copped the big fine. He runs out for the next game and gets booed by half the crowd - the same people who practically spend 88 quarters a season massacring the umpires themselves in a more hateful way than he ever did. I can't remember who it was booing him but that was the biggest exposure of football fans as grade A spazzers that I've ever seen.
