Looking at purchasing a set of headphones for use with a PC and after going onto eBay it occurred to me I have no idea what half of the features on these actually do and if they are relevant. So just wondered if anyone can recommend any headphone sets they use or have used or just any suggestions on what to look for or avoid.

Cheers in advance :)

Have reviews and forums for any question you may still have.

Extremely resourceful.

Plus free delivery if you purchase from them (I have, as have many others)

Whats your price range? Will they be used primarily for games/music/movies? Do they need to block out surrounding sound? How many hours a day will you be using them? Will you plug them straight into your computer? Would you prefer little ear buds or big headphones?

headphones.com.au is a very good place to get started. The forum has best bang for buck options, and then you can import them from USA for half that price.

Be careful with ebay, heaps of fakes going around.

Nothing to do with headphones but this is an interesting thread here....

But back on the subject of headphones, that site has Beyer DT250's selling for $359.

This eBay ad has them for $207 Australian without shipping. BUT that includes the 17 % UK VAT and it says they will take that off for non-EU countries. Could end up being quite a bargain compared to the Aussie price.

(I've never been into quality headphones before but this thread has arcked up my interest)

Cheers for the replies. To be honest a lot of that was still over my head but I'm happier trusting the recommendations of headphones.com.au over eBay :thumbsu:.
