Heath hocking in?

I think we have too many similar players to him with more potential upside..Lonergan, Reimers not in the team then add JJ, Pev, Jobe, Nash who can extract the pill also and the line is a little long. The line for overall midfeild adds a few also..See Houli, Winders to that list and it doesnt seem likely..

I like the kid dont get me wrong but for our team. Seeing D1ck and Chartres may be of more benefit. Look for one d1ck in each team this week maybe..

Either way i trust Sheeds..He has done a great job this year regardless of what happens..

Too many talls I think.

Michael, Fletcher, Ryder, Lovett-Murray down back.
Lloyd, Lucas, Laycock/Hille forward.

Even if we were to bring in another tall, Bradley deserves a spot well before Dick or Chartres.

Hocking would be the go IMO. Looks very good.

But for the now.

Hocking has shown better form than both Lonergan and Reimers.

Unfortunately JJ's future isn't looking good, Pev's should go back to being a tagger, Jobe's spectacular, and as for Nashy, fills a different role.

If Campo's on the LTI, bring hocking in for sure.
We need to see if he's capable in the big time, it's his 2nd year on the rookie list.
Reimers has time on his side, Lonergan hasn't been displaying the same form as hocking. Nashy and Watson and here to stay, whilst JJ and Pev appear to be on the way out.

He was incredibly good yesterday. Had the yips in front of goal but other than that was fantastic. Promote him i reckon we have a gun on our hands here.

Hes our best rookie and if campo is on the long term injury list, i want this guy in the team.

i disagree. someone like houli would be preferred. Hocking can find the ball but often has poor disposal like peverill. we dont need another hard worker but poor disposer of the ball. Houli can kick the pill straight so imo bring him in first.

Don't suppose you saw the Bendigo game yesterday?

i watched about a quarter.. even if he kicked well yesterday it doesnt really matter, from what i have seen of him which is quite a bit he hasnt kicked well. we need a precise kick, we have players who can get plenty of the ball but they dont damage the opposition, i fear for now hocking is one of those. i would rather him than peverill of course because peveril is to old to change now, he has been poor in disposal his whole career and that aint gonna change. hocking is young and will get better with age, however that doesnt change the fact that i think houli, jetta and co are much better kicks. and that is what we need

Hocking has neat skills.

He's no Jay Nash, but he's no Pev/JJ either.

He uses the ball well by hand and foot.

Houli is already on the Senior List, U dumbo

Reimers (who is on the senior list) looks like he may have a bright future. I have only seen him in action in one game (the televised game yesterday), but he looks like a hard nut with good skills and an appetite for kicking goals. Plus he is still only 18 and so has plenty of time to develop.

And I hope that people had a good look at Jason Cloke yesterday and finally realised that he would be an embarrassment of the highest order should he ever be listed at another AFL club.

and before anyone asks yes I know he was named in the best ....that demonstrates how much notice you should take of what is written in the paper.

Sorry but you have had a guess . Having seen him in 13 of his 16 VFL games and a number of his TAC Cup games i can say with confidence that his skills are better than Peverill and JJ. His skills in the VFL this year have been just as good as Houli and Hislop. He has had numerous occasions where he has hit tragets from long range and set up goals or set up play which resulted in scoring opertunities.
If you want an idea of what his TAC stats for 2005 where like you can check out http://vfl.footballvic.com.au/?s=results
Just go to the reults of one of our games and click on his name.
Just to give you a quick ideal he only had one game where he had 4 ineffective kicks. The rest of the season he hit targets.

Very harsh , yesterday was clearly one of his worst games for Bendigo this year. You cant simply pluck out one bad game and use that to highlight why he shouldnt be drafted again.
Overall he has been extremely good in the VFL this year. He has played all year with a dodgy ankle and his workrate has been outstanding. His marking has been excellent and his reading of the play very good. The problem i still have with him is his disposal by foot can be very ordinary which under my eliminating poor kickers of the footy theory leaves him out of caculations.
If he was a better kick of the footy i would take him without even thinking about it.

I dont mean straight into the team i mean on the list.

It seems as though he has continued to play that loose man in defense role that he did for Collingwood. This is okay until the opposition starts to kick to his man, which I think started happening to him when he was at Collingwood. If he is going to play in this style in defence he needs to be more accountable. I would not draft him. As others have commented he may be best suited to VFL.
