Well ant my good man, the Titans still without there two scoring guards defeated ...... drumroll please ...... the Adelaide 36'rs!!!!!

And the crowd goes wild .... hehehehe .... as long as they hang in there the Titans will come good .... oh and 'the scoring sensation' Jamahl Mosley even got 14 points, very pleasing result i would have thought ...... anyway have a good night antie :)


And Easty man thang Goorjian outcoached your guy again tonight .... thats why he is National coach! :D

Well done for sticking up for the mighty titans and being our bigfooty spokesperson through a difficult start Bubba . ;)

I went to my first game for the year and was very impressed.

With Jason Smith to return, we have a lot to look forward too. I liked Mosely's game, did a few good things and even scored tonight!

It's hard not to be impressed with Farley, he's a gun. Although there's no use scoring 29 points midway through the third period and then only adding another 2 for the rest of the night. Still along with Brett Maher they form a formiddable duo. But where's the rest of the team? Sorry Ant and 36er fans but I've got to worry about a team where Rupert Sapwell plays so many minutes. ;)

Anyway we're sitting 4 and 4 at the moment. There's no need to get off to a brilliant start only to fade away in the playoffs. We'll be there come playoff time so watch out.

Go Titans! :D

Losing by two points after playing only 24 hours beforehand wasn't too bad. If Rupert's shot had gone in you wouldn't be gloating!!! :p

And having half our team on 3 fouls half way through the 2nd didn't help either. I'm surpried Sapwell lasted till the end after being on 5 mid 2nd quarter :)

We played cr@p, we shot badly, we only had 1 scoring option...and we lost because the hairy ape missed a triple on the buzzer :mad:

Anyone hear Smyth's naught naughty language during the last time out :eek: :eek:
 
Yes, I'm here, to face up to the Sixers losing to the rabble that is the Victoria Titans. :D

Actually, I did say in a previous post that the Titans would probably bounce back this week against us and they certainly did.

And who are the 2 scoring guards that the Titans are missing?? I know Jason Smith is one but who is the other?? I think our second import would equal (to a certain degree) the influence that J. Smith would have so I think both teams would have been missing key parts to their lineup.

I wasn't too disappointed, considering we were coming off a win the previous night in Wollongong, already had a weekend split on our matches and didn't need a victory as desperately as the Titans. Your team had a whole week to stew over a home loss to the Taipans :eek: and were going to come out hard....and you did.

To get as close as 2 points to a team as talented as the Titans away from home after a tough win the previous night is no disgrace. And considering our team basically consists of Willie Jordan and Maher, I actually can't believe we only lost by 2, and came within a whisker of winning it.

And as for Smyth being outcoached by Goorjian, I guess it has to happen occasionally... after the '98, '99 and '01 finals series in which the Smyth coached Sixers walloped the Titans/Magic, I guess Man Thang was due for one. Any chance of a Goorjian team winning a title??

And BTW, which team is top of the ladder??

Geez Coxy, how mercenary are the Kings? Can't they get motivated enough to win a title legitimately, they have to get a bookie to bribe them with 250,000 big ones. :rolleyes: Pretty poor effort, if that's what they need to win a Championship. :p
No wonder they couldn't win before, no-ones ever offered them enough. :D

It's not as if the Sydney Kings needed any additional incentive to win an NBL championship. After so many years of trying - and failing - a title would be one of the biggest sports stories the city has spawned, and would also be a windfall for the club and basketball nationwide.

But yesterday, a financial carrot was dangled in front of the team when one of the club's sponsors, betting agency SportOdds, offered a cheque for $250,000 if the Kings can capture the championship this season.

Ant, Nathan Croswell .... remember that name, hell light up courts around the country when he returns from injury.... he was our leading scorer preseason, a perfect short term fit for J.Smith before cruelly being cut down by injury .....

Come on Bubba, Nathan Croswell?? You can hardly call him a big loss to the team, obviously he's a young guy with a lot of potential but do you really think he'd make a big difference?? (I don't really know, though his name rings a bell, did he play with the Tigers last year??)
