HELP!! hardware components for setting up a LAN

gday, im in an IT outcome at the moment for school and im stuck on a question. The question is "List the main hardware and software components required to establish a LAN" any help would be much appreciated. cheers.

Then only software you need is an Operating System (Windows, Linux...ect)
Network Card in all P.Cs / Server's
Cat5 Network Cables
Network Switch (link up other P.C's and/or Servers)
Router ( For Internet Access)
