I have a problem.

I have recently bought a new hard-drive to install into a fairly old computer (its a Pentium 133, but its still pretty good). I have worked out the bios and the formatting is done, but once I've gone to install Windows, the computer has frozen. I type in "Setup" at the prompt, but it just freezes, resulting in a reset. I've even tried to get the directory of the CD drive using the "dir" function, but it replies with "Drive E is Win98", to where it freezes again.

I have heard that the problem is that the CD-Rom may not have been detected, but at the start up its said that the CD-Rom is found.

Does anyone have any help on the subject, or any advice on what I am doing wrong or what I should do?

Well you might want to check the CD first. Try it on another computer and see if it is working properly. If that works make a boot disk and use it before inserting your CD. Then try installing windows.

Although if i remember correctly you should be able to use the Windows CD as a boot disk, so try changing your bios and having the CD as the first boot up option.
