Help us Danny Meyer, it's your time to shine

Terry, bring him IN and leave him there!! We paid a lot for this kid and with our current position there is only a star to be gained in playing him.

Put him in the midfield and half back flank for 90% game time for the rest of the year.

Why not? It's not like he will cost us any games!

Let's force the ball into his hands by keeping him in the thick of the action. Once the ball is in his hands he is a wonderful player and who knows, he may even become a star despite his young age of 20.

Danny Meyer may be the only player drafted in the past 3 years with the potential to be the next Nathan Brown (imbo). This may be a long (lonnnggg) shot but there is nothing to lose and a lot to gain. I hate our current situation and this guy is the only youngster who could possibly step in and give us hope in the last 7 games of the season... save us from this hell and step into our side and become a star!

good work mate im sick of seeing people ripping into him

my mates went down to richmond training the other day and said danny just had the best skills and looked so silky. hopefully he can put some good performances together for coburg and work his way into the senior side and just find the ball.
he has a great leap and has been played in the forward line but it is obvious he was drafted to eventually be a midfielder.

once again i agree benny, in the foward line he is not being able to show his skill.

give him the ball and if he still doesnt cut it then i think his head will be on the chopping block.

Play him. Hopefully he plays 1 or 2 good games and has some trade value. Because he aint worth diddly squat right now. With a couple of 15-20 possession games he could attract pick 25-40.

Surely he must be played in the seniors. I mean it's not like all who are in the senior team are playing that well that his inclusion would cause any great distress within the group. I have never seen him play myself, but surely a #9 pick must be played to work out what sort of footballer he is. Maybe he is one of those blokes who steps up when in a higher level of game. I mean, what have Richmond got to lose anyway?

Agree also that there are plenty of seriously questionable high draft picks at other teams, and Beau Dowler's inability to play a game in almost 2 years at the Hawks has to be of some concern to them. Josh Kennedy at the Blues is also another high pick spent on a guy making progress very, very slowly. And, is Gibbs looking as good as Selwood now for them? Stick with it Tiger fans, something will click before too long. Teams can go from these sort of seasons to finals contention in a short time...Sydney 1993-94 to 1996 G/F...Freo 2001 at 2-20 to finals in 2003. It can and will change!!

Sensible post Benny,our midfield continually turns the ball over & it is the one thing Meyer can do (when he actually gets a kick) is use it.We are on the bottom & with nothing to lose by playing him.Whats the worst that can happen,him be useless & join a list of others we need to get rid of.

Totally agree.....He comes out of contract at the end of they year...and how much of a chance has he been given? I dont care if he hasnt done 'that much' for coburg...i wanna see what he can do at elite level not what is happening at coburg city oval....go watch his game vs the cats last yr. Wallace either hates him or we are going along better than i thought. Five of the better kicks at the club are Meyer, Casserly, Hughes, Riewoldt and COnners - all need to be brought in and played for the rest of the year. Let them play their natural game with no pressure. Play Danny on a wing/HB or as a run with player.....Wallace keeps whinging about our lack of skill...well the fact these guys are playing reserves and we have players like hyde, sugar, tuck, hartigan, tivendale even raines and tambling running around...its no wonder really.
