What do you do to help remember things or what helped you in the past?

For me, the colours of the rainbow is this list of words/one name:

Richard.
Of.
York.
Gave.
Battle.
In.
Vain.

For equations, I was taught BODMAS or BOMDAS (Brackets over Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.)

Also, was taught to Never Eat Soggy Weet-Bix with compass directions in primary school.

Lastly, I know each square number increases per next odd number. (1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100.)

Any nnumber where you add up the digits and the result is divisible by 3, is itself devisible by three.

e.g. 41561247 -> 4+1+5+6+1+2+4+7 = 30, is divisible by 3, therefore 41561247 is divisble by 3 (I think it works for 9 as well, but have never seen any proof of that)

Full stops at the end of titles and headlines should be avoided.

I've heard of the one using 9. It works as well.

45/9=5
135/9=15
12042/9=1338
6000003/9=666667
111111111/9=12345679

5318008 upside down on a calculator is BOOBIES. Do kids still use calculators? Smartphones have them but then you can just search for actual boobies.

I never found 'Never Eat Soggy Weet-Bix' useful at all. Who can't work out North, South, East and West - which are spoken in that order anyway?

BIMDAS is useful, if for nothing else as getting people to think about brackets and that multiplication and division take precedence over addition and subtraction. Two coffees ($4 each) and a steak sandwich ($15) is $23, not $38. That is pretty logical to most people, yet if you write 2 x 4 + 15 some people will answer 38.
