henderson has been a great pick up and replacement for fev. he is a very selfless player and has a bright future and looks ready to really take the next step next year. i was really happy with his performance to day but i hope that someone talks to him in the preseason and tells him that if he's in an elimination final and your a goal down with less than a minute to go and you mark the ball on the 50 back youself "GO BACK AND TAKE THE SHOT" i dont care if he missed i just want to see him have ago.

He is a bloody great talent, he will serve your blokes well for many years. Does need to back himself a bit more when taking shot at goal though, that will all come with confidence and experience..

I agree with the paddle pops fan. He will get better with more experience which will increase his confidence in his ability.

I reckon he will be our next great CHF and will be a legend of the game when he finishes.

Although he wasn't to know there was only 1 minute to go, he should have backed himself but when you have a quality running goal kicker running past, you can't be shot down for setting up what could've been a better(or possible higher percentage) option. If only Hendo held his marks today. All the same, what a great pick up he has proven to be for us.

It was strange because he was holding some really tough marks and then dropping some easy ones. He is certainly improving and that's all we can ask. I am a huge fan.

One thing that I do think would improve his game drastically is his body positioning I'm marking contests. He tends to just jump at the ball with using body work to free himself up. He needs to use his body to push off and get that space to make a potential contested mark into an easy uncontested mark. This will obviously come with a few more pre seasons but he should be working on that with Sticks.

Hendo just need some more conditioning, which is natural for a 20 year old CHF. Has had a fantastic last month, but in each game he starts strong and fades towards the end. Another pre-season or two and he will be an absolute gun (and will hold those marks in the last quarter).

I'm really liking the kid, had a terrific last couple months. Still, that handball to Garlett on a worse angle in the last minute in inexcusable. Set shot, you're in range on a slight angle, he HAS to back himself. Confidence is key with him. I hope Ratts had a talk to him about it after the game.

Hopefully he wasn't too harsh. There were a few more players in the side known for their lack of decision making who contributed less - and that's not just today but week after week.

That was pr0n to see Henderson run back to the square, jump at the oncoming pack of players and come within a whisker of holding it. Training and playing with his former captain appears to have rubbed off on Lachie. Will be a fine player for the next ten years.

He marked the ball on 50. Would have kicked from 55 and been 50/50 at best to make the distance. He handpassed off to Garlett who got within 40m but unfortunately rushed the kick when he had more time. Nothing wrong with the decision.

If only he'd held that mark in the goal square but...

Ah well. Still love the guy. My favourite at the footy club and easy. Will be a gun for years to come. First quarter was brilliant.
