He offers something unique to our forward line. His speed and preasure is awesome for a taller guy. Once he really starts to get his confidence he will start taking some big marks too

Don't get me wrong, I love the optimism, but not all of our youth can be football gods.

Did play well today though :thumbsu:

His intensity still isn't at the level it should be, but the good thing is that it's something that a play can work on and change - just look at guys like Doughty and Reilly if you need examples.

It's great to have a tall bloke who can take a mark but also has serious pace. Not saying Kurt is slow (he's damn quick for his height) but boy is Hendo going to cause trouble in a few years time. What we see now is just a taste of what he could develop into as long as he lifts his intensity. If he doesn't, he'll be too easily shut down by better teams.

He's got some serious potential and it'll be great to watch his rise over the next few years.

Has a seriously long roost on him too, like Knights and Walker more than capable of kicking really long goals, 50 metres +........no problem!!!! :thumbsu:

Hendo and Gunston will eventually form a half forward/wing duo that will be a nightmare to match up on, like it a lot!

Henderson needs to work on holding his marks. Each time he's played this season, he's had a moment where he's been in a great position to take a mark near the goals, but it slips through his hands.

This is only a minor criticism, though. Overall, he's been really good these last few weeks.

Love his second efforts. Should come close to receiving a rising star nomination this week.

great game by Hendo. would've been great if he'd stuck some of those marks he flew for (would've had a few extra shots on goal and added to his already impressive 3-goal match).

does anyone know why he was in the middle for the club song? because he played against the Dees last week.

Really like what I'm seeing from Hendo, I think he'll make a great foil for the twin towers of Tippett and Walker over the next 10 years, as a tall HFF/winger, who could double as a KPF when needed too. Very keen for him to stay in the side for the rest of the year, is only going to get better and better. On top of all this, he's an absolute top bloke, sat next to him at a Crows function this year and couldn't believe how easy it was to chat to him and get along with. :thumbsu:

I love how fast he is. He catches up to player so quickly! It hasn't really been noticed by anyone outside our camp but he will get a few run down HTB's over the coming weeks and people will start fearing his speed. Going to be a nightmare match up when he starts marking consistently. Too quick for a KPB and even a small defender who he would out reach anyway. He's really helped our structure and will be awesome with Tippett and Walker. Kicked 12 goals between 3 of them, can't argue with the results. Loved his interception last night too, didn't look like getting there originally but put on the burners and marked it easily. Great anticipation.

I love his work rate, he is prepared to push down the ground to hlp out the defence and then puts on the "turn and burn" to out work and out pace his direct oponent to find space in the forward line

Hendo is the modern day footballer and in years to come will destroy most 3rd or 4th defenders in an opposition side :thumbsu:

the weekly bump for my man Hendo :thumbsu:

getting better and better

loved his up the ground leading and his set shots

we now have a three headed monster forward line (plus Jaensch)

Knights to come in ... how good does that look?

Gives me butterflies to think of these guys all together in 3 years time!

Walker - Tippett - Jaensch
Knights - Henderson - Porplysia

In any order, it seems nice

He got a pass mark for mine, nothing more than that. Was hardly sighted in the 2nd half. I can see something in him but he is very very raw and still a few years off yet. Love the pace he has for a man his size.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: Henderson was awesome today. He's number 45, were we watching the same game? This was his 5th game and he was taken in the rookie draft from a strong basketball background. Today he had 13 kicks, 9 handballs, 8 marks (2 of them contested), 5 tackles won 3 frees, gave 1 away and kicked 3 goals. This amounts to 119 dreamteam points. His disposal efficiency was 90.91%, 1 clearance and 5 inside 50's. I think you're a bit hard to please.

How good was that goal in the first quarter? 2-on1, both Eagles ran past the ball and Hendo slots a difficult shot from near the boundary and made it look easy. What a gun this guy will be!
