Gee, this board is growing fast, isn't it? I was introduced to this board by a mate, who joined only a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad to have found an AFL board that doesn't include all the bitching and swearing that goes on in other footy boards. Anyway, here's my responses to the survey that Bluey posted a few years back ...

I Admire...Why? Sir Frank Williams. He is the founder and team principal of the WilliamsF1 team, and his guts and determination is certainly a lesson to me. He has always wanted to own an F1 team, and his hero was the late Ken Tyrrell. When Sir Frank was young, he worked as a mechanic to scrounge up enough money to buy an old chassis to enter into Grand Prix races, driven by his close friend Piers Courage, who was tragically killed in a racing accident. He continued without much success, he was officially bankrupt in the mid 1970s and his team was taken over. But he was determined to start again, signed up a brilliant young designer named Patrick Head, made business calls from a phone box and from bankruptcy he rose to become an owner of one of the most successful F1 teams. But that wasn't the end of his setbacks: in 1986 he was involved in a road car accident that left him paralysed and confined to a wheelchair. Yet he continued running the team as before, despite his lack of mobility. Sir Frank Williams overcame setback after setback to be the man he is, and was finally honoured with a knighthood at the end of 1998.
Finally...3 Things I'd Like To Do/Achieve Before I die... Bring three people I'd most like to meet together for dinner: Sir Frank Williams, Sir Sean Connery and Michael Buble
