Our good friend Caro just can't help herself........there will come a day when she finds that she can leave Richmond out of an article and perhaps even write a "truly" positive article about Collingwood.
I guess she's PO'd her constant tips against Collingwood and predictions that we can't make finals (and Essendon will finish top 4) require justification. She needs to find a reason for it.....and that reason is of course we are more equal than others in the eyes of the AFL.
Caro....the TAC told Richmond that any further screw ups and the sponsorship is gone. Schultz transgressed and the money pulled. Why do they have every right to be feeling aggrieved? They screwed up and that's the end of the story.
I am sure Collingwood have just been given the same message.
Were we getting favours when we had to play Hawthorn and St Kilda at Waverly as home games?
Were we getting favours when we played Port Adelaide on the road (but never at home) for 5 odd years?
Were we getting favours when Richmond played 17 games at the G in a season?
She may make the statement that some of what we have done is deserved........but you know she says that out of the corner of her mouth. It is noted that Caro, albeit grudgingly, is trying to say in this article that Collingwood are a greatly managed football club and she's obviously jealous that Richmond are not. But damn....can you feel her eyes rolling into the back of her head as you read this.
It is noted Caro that you couldn't bring yourself to include the name McGuire in your article when including positive lines like:-
"Collingwood has done business pretty well over the past seven years"
"it will rightly not give much ground on its jumper"
"Magpies also had the foresight and the crowd guarantees to underpin the AFL-MCC truce with the guarantee of 18 games a season at the 'G"
