Our good friend Caro just can't help herself........there will come a day when she finds that she can leave Richmond out of an article and perhaps even write a "truly" positive article about Collingwood.

I guess she's PO'd her constant tips against Collingwood and predictions that we can't make finals (and Essendon will finish top 4) require justification. She needs to find a reason for it.....and that reason is of course we are more equal than others in the eyes of the AFL.

Caro....the TAC told Richmond that any further screw ups and the sponsorship is gone. Schultz transgressed and the money pulled. Why do they have every right to be feeling aggrieved? They screwed up and that's the end of the story.

I am sure Collingwood have just been given the same message.

Were we getting favours when we had to play Hawthorn and St Kilda at Waverly as home games?

Were we getting favours when we played Port Adelaide on the road (but never at home) for 5 odd years?

Were we getting favours when Richmond played 17 games at the G in a season?

She may make the statement that some of what we have done is deserved........but you know she says that out of the corner of her mouth. It is noted that Caro, albeit grudgingly, is trying to say in this article that Collingwood are a greatly managed football club and she's obviously jealous that Richmond are not. But damn....can you feel her eyes rolling into the back of her head as you read this.

It is noted Caro that you couldn't bring yourself to include the name McGuire in your article when including positive lines like:-

"Collingwood has done business pretty well over the past seven years"
"it will rightly not give much ground on its jumper"
"Magpies also had the foresight and the crowd guarantees to underpin the AFL-MCC truce with the guarantee of 18 games a season at the 'G"

It’s no secret that Caro has Eddie issues and it is no secret that her old man always hated Collingwood – like all good Richmond people did back then. In general I don’t mind they stuff she gets stuck into but she is hopelessly biased when writing about either Richmond or Collingwood. She also likes to get stuck into Carlton but don’t we all…

I like what she does, more reason and justification that she hasn't got a clue at times, when it comes to the Pies.

only richmond supporters are sooking. i havent heard one carlton, essendon or even freo supporter complain. now surely that isnt just a conicidence... and secondly, 18 games at the G? we play four interstate, and we have already played 4 at the dome... um caro....

she is a woman end of story! she hasnt got the ability to rationalise and be objective!

Like Tim Lane's shocker the other week that is just a biased anti-Collingwood article for the fun of it...shame on The Age for printing them

Can you give us the link to Tim Lanes article? Would hate to think that Tim would be showing bias in his media commitments after the song and dance he did over Eddie calling Collingwood games.

Why is there any criticism aimed at this article when it practically validates the very same claims that many Collingwood supporters love aiming at opposition supporters.
From where I sit, the articles basically outlines that due to our administration and the size of our following we get what we want when we want it.
It also states quite clearly that Collingwood travel less than other Vic clubs BECAUSE all the other Vic clubs want a home game against us each and every year. In light of the crticism we receive from other posters here on BF, it's good to have our counter argument highlighted by a "professional" journalist.
Yes, it may seem bitter, and I'm certainly no fan of the biatch, but i dont see too much wrong with that article, especially if you look past it's face value and read beetween the lines.

More to do with the tone of her writing........yes, she begrudgingly is validating the Pies administration......but her professionalism must come into question when she blatantly cries on Richmond's behalf (one day she will leave them out of her articles).

Her validation of "Collingwood's arguments" are sandwiched between veiled complaints and jealousy. My beef is that she couldn't put together a "truly positive" article about the Collingwood plight and doesn't acknowledge that other's (Richmond) have had a good run in the past with scheduling.

Her main gripe seems to be the speed with which the TAC terminated the Richmond deal, compared with the non-termination of the Collingwood deal (at this stage anyway).

If that's the case, shouldn't the article be a whinge about the double standards at the TAC? It's their decision, not ours.

But no, instead the slag turns it into an anti-Collingwood affair. It must cut her so deep to see the Tigers descend into a rabble, setting themselves up to be the St Kilda of the 21st century. No money, no prospects, while the Pies prosper just a stone's throw away.

The one thing I will give her and the Tigers is the one thing they don't want - pity. They're going nowhere fast.

Too late for that, her face was the victim.

She can write something good once in a blue moon, it seems blue moons are a rare breed lately.

She wrote an article recently on Eddie Maguire retiring from the Collingwood presidency. Now obviously Eddie has done a great job. She made it sound as if he was self congraulotary rather than congratulate him for what a truly marvelous job he has done over the years.

Yep, she finally tipped us. First time for the year. But if you look at the margins, look out guys its gunna be a tough one - well according to caro the second closest game of the round. Pies are the shortest odds to win this week coincidently.

She hates the pies. Everyone knows this.
