Nobody else in their right mind would take over the party when they need 2 elections to gain power and the party has trouble sticking with a leader for even one election.

Beasley and Latham together (with perhaps beasley as leader to show a veneer that something is happening) might manage to put enough together to dislodge the cunning rodent. at the very least at least one of them would be out of his sick bed at any one time.

Failing that they could hold it together till another challenger appears.

If you think of it labour in the UK didn't really get anywhere untill the leadershiop aspirants decided to work a team.

First things first, it's Beazley with a z :)

And I wouldnt support joint leaders - and I doubt whether either Kimbo or Mark would be Deputy Leader to the other.

I'm also not convinced of Julia Gillard's credentials. Isn't she so far left its not funny?

As for the Qld'ers - Swan and Rudd, I think they would make an excellent team with Swan as leader and Rudd deputy and shadow treasurer.

I would love to see Beattie step up to the plate federally, but I think he loves Queensland too much (as u do).

Don't know much about Bracks, but I think Beattie is far more experienced. Bob Carr is a bit hard to figure out and I doubt whether non-NSWmen would ever go for him.
