Heritage jumper.

I really liked it,
Was this jumper considered when the club was created?
Because it has allot of history behind it and we couldnt ever be accused of lacking culture.
What does everyone else think of a permenant change?

Nah , good for a one off but it would be a problem next time we play the swans.

2 out of three.

I said for many years you needed to get a decent coach, a decent guernsey and a decent song.

Today the first two were in evidence and the red and white seems to be truly Freo.

Never mind the Swans, away guernseys are coming..and not to soon. I'm fed up of games like Bombers v Dees where the guernseys are virtually identical.

Its alright for a one off thing only. I think we should just wear our home jumper all the time. Today will be the only day i ever cheer for a red and white team over a blue and white team.

I thought it looked like a good strip, but obviously it's too close to the Swans' strip to be used as your main strip, and you'd have to add some blue for East Freo to make it a true representation of Freo history. Perhaps that jumper, but with two or three horizontal blue strips at the bottom?

It was great to see the old Freo jumper however I just hope you don't play The Sydney (South Melbourne) Swans in next years Heritage round .

Only one team in Freo im afraid, East Fremantle are a bunch of sissy deserters and got shown up 3 out of 3 times this year in all grades.

Good for a one off, but not for a permanent change.
Purple is the colour of Freo - Combination of East + South (ie blue + red)

I reckon the heritage guernsey with a few minor alterations could be used as either the away strip, or the "to avoid a clash" strip.
Keep the 3 V's - but make one purple, one green and one red. Chuck a purple number on the back, and we've got our heritage jumper combined with the contemporary colours.
If we must persist with an anchor (of which I'm not a huge fan), then something small and stylised at the base of the V's - a bit like the Opera House on the Sydney jumper. You know what it is and what it represents but it's not in your face...

[Freo Hitman]

Ok guys this is my piece as a South Freo supportter. This Round was heritage round that expains the jumpers of 3 red V's as worn by the original Freo team. As we all know , a hell of a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and now we have our very own Red , Green , purple & white. I love it- & if other supportters dont - tough t***ies !!!Lets stick to what we started with !!!
