Hey i was just thinking that collingwood need to add some real speed to their midfield and can remember from watching the grand final, that James Walker won the 100m sprint on GF day. What do you guys think it would take to get "Gordon Coventry's" grand son into the good ole black and white?

I would not be suprised to see McGough at Fremantle next year yet I would want something more than just him for Walker. Personally I would be very disappointed to see Walker leave the club yet sometimes its those hard decisions that need to be made for the overall benefit.

Walker is a quiet achiever doing a solid job. It was felt by alot of supporters that he was "soft", but after viewing a couple of replays, we have now decided that he can hold his own.

Davis is a flashy player, who can / will turn it on only 2 to 3 times a year. McGough, I thought we already had enough "slow" in the legs players.

Keep Walker unless required in a top draw trade. eg. tough midfielder.

I would like to see Walker stay at the club. He was one of a few young blokes who looked the goods (along with Black, Sinclair, Holland), but is the only one left. I hope out of those four at least one goes on with the job for Freo.

The last thing I want to see at Freo is Zero Davis but McGough could be tempting.

Look I know all supporters over value their players, but you have basicly asked for a direct trade of Walker for McGough.

Walker played all the games this year, McGough obviously told Mick that his daughter was ugly, thus played few games. A bit hard to see they are of similar value. Walker (100+ games, in best 22), McGough (few games, not in best 22).

Spot on...whilst I think McGough is a good "Melbourne weather" player, he would struggle on the wide expanses of Subi Oval...hope to hell that he doesn't come our way, I'm 99% sure he won't. There is no way known Walker would go to Collingwood for that trade....perhaps Tarkyn lockyer for James Walker is a more fair trade!

I would hate to see Jimmy leave us, one of the most under-rated players in the league IMO.

Maybe Jim + a 2nd rounder for Tarrant might make me change my mind (would never, ever happen but is closer than what you have proposed). Other than that I would not want to give him up, esp not for Davis.
Maybe, just maybe, McGough + a pick for Jimmy (+ no pick) may be worth considering.

Either you don't rate Walker at all or you're taking the p*ss.

Leon Davis is one of the biggest duds going around. He had a good game against us, but every week some freaking hack or dud steps up and plays a blinder against us.
