Thought I would introduce myself and tell you all a bit about myself as I am sure that everyone will be monitering this intro thingy closely.
I have followed the Swannies now for 6 years, I became a member in '99 with my old man who is a big fan as well. I come from a union background, I bought the memberships for dad and myself one year as a Christmas present and never looked back. It really is the kind of thing you have to see live before you really start to get it as it really really sux watching AFL on TV.
My best memories of AFL would be:
- watching Plugger kick his 1,300th goal
- watching Kelly play just about any game
- beating Port in the SF, even though I was not there
- giving Bradley heaps after he milked a free and then missed it, he went bright red and SPRAYED it
- the absolute passion of supporters on game day, you can act like a maniac, yell and scream BUT not get arrested
- ending St Kilda's unbeaten run this year
- Cressa banging his knee back in - GO SON!
- seeing Barry Hall develope into a top team man and player has been awesome
There are heaps more but the above make watching footy an awesome experience. I look foreward to revving up with you guys in the future.
