It's like he's been asked to write a piece on Freo so he's just pulled out a few copies of the worst/slimes from over summer and taken a few themes from them and hit submit. How does something like that even get into print?

You have to agree with most of what he says. We have shown no flair this year and we sit at 1-4. Also Picking up Mark Johnson was definitely the wrong choice. It's all well and good that we now have huge support and dollars in the bank, but we haven't been playing entertaining or winning football this year. I don't think that we're a basket case but I'm unsure of how to gauge the teams performance...

Completely lazy opinion piece as usual from many "commentators" of the game. Though some points are probably valid.

Currently our recruiting practices of the last two years don't look too smart, though there seems to be an obsession with age in the AFL, and its always easier in hindsight. We seem to have recruited for a game style that is no longer played - eg the tough, hard, in-close style of 3 years ago, and have missed the boat a bit on the continual hard and fast running style of today.
