Two games in and its quite evident Hill has taken huge steps in adjusting his game to deal with a heavy tag.

Last year his form slide coincided with Barlow's injury and the heavy tag going from Barlow to Hill. I prayed that we didn't have a Kerr like player on our hands that only excelled when free (Headland for the freo example), but thus far it appears my prays were answered.

Should be interesting to see how he goes over the season as he gets up to full match fitness and then perhaps tires at the end. At this stage he's been very good and more importantly broken free when we have needed him most.

They were kicking it over Hills head for him to run on to it a lot and it was working realy well. Plus he started to uses his leap to his advantage and start taking some nice contested grabs towards the end of last year and so far this year.

I liked that tactic, gets the crowd revved up to.

I like the Hill optimism, the biggest tick for me is his hugely improved right foot. To be fair Hill has started the season virtually the same as last year.

Hill has always had a very natural right foot.

I think what we are seeing is Hill slowing down with a bit of bulk, only fractionally and not having as much time to roll onto his left.

He has always had a very natural right boot.

Is he actually getting a heavy tag? Don't get me wrong, he's been outstanding, but to me it didn't look like Taylor Hunt was wearing him very close.

Match fitness has been a blessing for him & Mundy.

Guthrie and Hunt were rotating on and off Hill over the course of the match.

Guthrie was all over him at the stoppages.
