Well it wasn't the results I expected over the past 4 weeks given I was hopeful of a 3-1 or 2-2 over the past four rounds. What the heck happened with our injury list over the last few weeks? Still we haven't been flogged and we had opportunities to win in all games. A 4-4 record places us in the middle pack and I have got say that I have been shocked by some of the results to date (West Coast and Richmond). I am currently viewing the Brissy game on Foxtel and its time we cut down some goal posts coz we keep hitting the bastards. Its great to be back (I was fortunate enough to see highlights of the Roos vs Adelaide game on Fox World Sports)

Its true that all of our losses have been close ones but the fact of the matter is that a loss is a loss. We cannot afford to drop these close games as it could be the difference between making the finals and falling short.

We must go on at least a 5 game winning streak starting with Bulldogs if we are a legitimate chance for a top 4 finish. Lets just hope we don't get many injuries.:(

I'm concerned that we are getting into a habit of losing games that we should be winning &/or are in control of. This is not healthy. We must beat the Bullies next week to get back in the winners circle. BTW, Stiffy, I hope we don't get any MORE injuries!

4 losses for the year, all winnable. The Saints was slightly different - our mental application in the first half of that game was pathetic.

In the other 3 - the big 3 - we have just refused to finish off our good work by kicking goals. Nothing wrong with our overall work rate in any of these games, but we just seem to have lapses within the game when we appear to be in control.

The good/ bad part of all this is that it's a mental thing and not physical. In other words we have the ability, in spite of a huge injury list to key players.

Once we get the mental part right, anything is possible including a flag. Stay as it is and it could be just a so-so season.

Yep, the "mental" thing was what Blighty got right. We really managed to finish teams off, and win the close ones.

Nothing's so frustrating as seeing the team just lose these close games! How bad is it to know we could have won at least three of those, and let 'em slip :(

Luthor here from Brisbane.

Great game last night and at half time I was telling anyone who wanted to listen that you Crowies had us cold.

We rose to the occasion and bully for us. I was happy to feel like a goose for being so pessimistic at the break.

If your guys had kicked straighter in the first half, we wouldn't have been within a bull's roar at half-time.

Anyway, love Lions/Crows games because they always have a good "feel" and the players of both sides seem to rise to the occasion without resorting to the "dirt".

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope to see you guys in the finals. Hopefully, the "system" won't end up giving one or both of us a "home" final at the MCG.

Go the "Interstaters" :D

At least all the losses have not been bad ones in terms of our % - that could be a + come the end of the season.

Yep, it was noted in my household how well the players from both sides got on after the game. Lots of smiles, handshakes, and backslapping. Quite a contrast to the Kangaroos game. I guess the non-Vic teams need to stick together :)

Dezzmo, I agree. Our percentage is second highest, which may come in handy at the end of the minor round. But unless we can finish off those teams above us, our finals are going to be very sad. :(
