I like to support charities that fight diseases, as do all of you, so I am a bit nonplussed that men and others are not overtly included in tonight's event.

The days when breast cancer was seen as only a woman's disease are long gone, yet with the field of women we are still confined to a show of support for one particular gender.

I thought this was quite eye-opening and disturbing. According to an interview on the weekend's 60 minutes there's officially a strength limit on AFLW players. It's meant of course to keep women who were formerly male from joining the game, which is quite transphobic and discriminates against transgendered women. It also wreaks a bit of sexism, as now there is literally a strength glass ceiling on female players. Women simply are not allowed to possess a certain amount of strength, whether it's acquired legally or not.

How about just letting women play, AFL? That IS what the AFLW competition was for, let them play at whatever size and shape, and stop trying to dictate what womanhood is.

That's just a cosmetic detail, she identifies mentally as a woman and has met the required hormone reduction levels. Should certainly be allowed to play.

No she doesn't, many people would find that unnecessary hardship on top of all the other problems trans people have to deal with. It doesn't provide any advantage in playing AFLW.

I don't think society, or woman as a group, need to have transitioning men with dicks in their changerooms .. I think you, and a number of people have overlooked the wants and needs of elite sportswoman and have been insensitive to their sexuality and desires

If he's still got dick, but he's a woman .. atm its a struggle for most people to get their heads around. I don't think its fair that woman be forced to interact in a physical sport or a changeroom
