Holland Down Back

Judging by his preformance on Playfair in the second half and some good marks the week before against Adelaide, playing Ben at CHB must be taken into consideration. It would open up the forward line to the likes of Robbo(as it did on Saturday)and Green.

Another match-turning move Daniher made was to move Davey onto the wing as he had minimal inpact up forward in the first half. Woudnt it be worth playing him there for a match to see how he goes with a look at making him a pernament winger with his speed and fairly good foot skills. It may lead us a bit short up forward but possibly Motlop could them be used as a HFF and Robbo moving to FP or FF if Neita doesnt get up for the Dogs game.

Its good if there's no one better to put down back.
Its also good for him because his kicking doesn't have to be as accurate as it does up forward, therefore he can make more mistakes.

but a mistake down back can be more costly then a mistake up forward.

yeh dutchy has been good down there, interesting when rivers comes back

i reckon he wont start down back vs the dogs cos they have smaller and quicker forwards that Rivers, Bizzell, Whelan and Brown (only if accountable) would be more suited too

Move Holland down back to his natural position and play him on the stronger forwards. Ferguson and Rivers can take care of the others.

This move allows a more solid backline, and it also opens the door for Miller to always play as a centre half forward, and also for a young ruckman to try his hand as a third tall.

i'm surprised that it has taken nearly 2 years for ND to try this move after Dutchy played down back for the tigers on many occasions. He was really just a hole filler for them and does a good job at it for us 2.

actually at the cats game, i saw two men, about mid 20s wearing a number 4 on their back. any one want to own up? it aint a shame no more, it's okay

Played ok, but Playfair isn't a CHF's a$$hole...but Holland could be used on Grant this weekend, hence no need for Nicho as the rest of our backline should match up well on their other smaller skinnier forwards.

Would be good for the lumbering forwards, and I’d give him a go on Grant. Does anyone think he would be a better option than Nicho?

BTW this week I think we still should go with 3 tall defenders as they may chuck Skipper, Grant and Minson up forward at the same time and although aside from Grant I don't think any of them would kick huge bags they may cost us.
