If you are a migrant, can you answer these questions please. I am desperate.

Part I: Basic Biographical Infomation

What is your name?
Where were you born?

When were you born?

What is your current occupation?

What is your educational background?

How many brothers and sisters do you have?

Where are they living and what do they do?

What was it like growing up?

What was life like in your country of origin?

Part II: Migration and Settlement
Why did you choose to migrate to Australia?

How did they migrate to Australia? (That is, who sponsored them for immigration?)

Who made the decision to immigrate?

How was the decision made?

How long did the decision take?

Did they travel together as a family or separately?

How was the health of everyone? Was anyone pregnant during the journey?

Where did they arrive in Australia?

Who greeted them when they arrived? Was it a relative or a friend or an agency representative?

Where did they go and live once they arrived?

What were their financial resources like when they arrived?

Did they immediately find housing to rent or buy?

What was their neighborhood like?

How did they get along with their neighbors and the community?

Did they find a job immediately? Was there a job waiting for them?

Who helped them find a job?

Did they like their job? What were their working conditions like?

What happened to the rest of their families?

Do they live close to other family members?

Part III: Race/Ethnic relations, Identity, and the Future
Of what ethnicity are your friends?

How did they get along with white people?

Did they experience any racial discrimination?

How did they get along with other ethnic groups?

How did they get along with other Asian Australians?

For example, do they see themselves as Asian Australians, as Vietnamese Australians, as simply Vietnamese or as Australians?

How would they feel if their children married outside their ethnic group?

What kinds of traditions did they pass on or would like to pass on to their children?

What do they see as their "place" in Australia?

What are their feelings about Australia?

How did these feelings change from when they arrived in Australia?

How did these feelings change from when they first arrived in Australia?

There was nothing wrong with his English.

Yours, on the other hand...perhaps you would be a suitable candidate for the survey?

I thought you had to be a migrant to do the survey.

Since English is one of the four main counted subjects, English can be your fourth subject at 42 and you can do very well.

FWIW. English was my fourth subject.

I didn't think my fourth subject being as low as 42 was so bad actually. How'd you go then Einstein?

Footy? You have this terrible habit of going way off track.

Eintstein was good at maths and science, i'm more like Shakespeare.

And if i was a train it'd be a terrible habit, not a human, which i am!

I don't get it. Of course the dux's ENTER is a good indication of how the dux went? :p

Eggs are generally the best indication of how the dux went. and also what the drakes think is a good indication too! :p

Yes, just keep on patting yourself on the back there! Wow! You got 42!

That means **** all at Uni. I know people who had ENTERs as high as the mid 90's yet are struggling at Uni currently. People should never show their ENTER as an indication of intelligence.
