Yes, just keep on patting yourself on the back there! Wow! You got 42!

That means **** all at Uni. I know people who had ENTERs as high as the mid 90's yet are struggling at Uni currently. People should never show their ENTER as an indication of intelligence.

Exactly. Entry score/OP score in QLD is important for about 5 seconds and is mainly for people to brag about only.

I partied too much in Year 12 and my OP was very average but still got into my preferred Bach of Journalism degree and doing very well at that. While I know other people who have had very high OP's/entry scores scores from school and they couldn't hack their degree and have dropped out.

Just make it up, i did when i was in year 11 and no harm was caused. You could answer them on your own easily.

Near enough is good enough mentality.
See, that's why your Olympics is going to be a disaster. ;)

I got the result i needed in the need, making something up doesnt mean near enough good enough, otherwise i would not have gotten an A+ on my interview with the great tony palumbo from sbs, teacher had no clue, done in 10 minutes. if you been watching the news you would have seen that athens is on track
and is far from being a disaster. Actually looking good.

btw they are not my olympics. You will find out your answer come august 13 on how athens has gone.

I'm aware of that. Did you miss my point about why I specified my score?

No, but it did look like you were bragging on about it. And the name Einstein had something to do with it. Sure, he had bad grammar and spelling but that is a very small component in English where marking is concerned. Most of them are allocated to presentation of ideas, using a logical flow to your essay, using evidence and so fourth. You will find that spelling and grammar are minute when marks are concerned.

Hell, some of my mates recieved a 40+ score and they can't spell, and I would say that they didn't have the perfect grammar. And besides, a lot of people don't treat internet messageboards in an official capacity, do they? Sure, it makes them look stupid, but that doesn't stop their message coming across no matter how idiotic it may be.

In the end, spelling and grammar do not matter in places like this when the actual message and the idea(s) in it are understandable, no matter how stupid. ;)

His suggestion was that I didn't do very well, so I simply stated my score for him, and as for further comments I made about my results, Ted understands where I was coming from/why I said it.

I'm not suggesting an English score of 40+ means someone can spell or use proper grammar and so on, far from it - but Ted was the one to say he didn't see my name in the paper.

I agree completely. I mean for me I've always been able to spell, but it's probably my only real strength and I'm sure that a lot who can't spell here would blitz me in other areas like maths or something! It's like my boyfriend, he isn't the world's best speller, but he spells things out the way they sound so I always understand what the word is meant to be. :p And that's what matters is that the point gets across, not the spelling or grammar!! None of us are perfect.

Part III: Race/Ethnic relations, Identity, and the Future

Of what ethnicity are your friends?
How did they get along with white people?
Did they experience any racial discrimination?
How did they get along with other ethnic groups?
How did they get along with other Asian Australians?
For example, do they see themselves as Asian Australians, as Vietnamese Australians, as simply Vietnamese or as Australians?
How would they feel if their children married outside their ethnic group?
What kinds of traditions did they pass on or would like to pass on to their children?
What do they see as their "place" in Australia?
What are their feelings about Australia?
How did these feelings change from when they arrived in Australia?
How did these feelings change from when they first arrived in Australia?
lolwut

Oh, you’re a migrant? Welp, your friends must be from an ethnic minority group.
Oh, your friends are from an ethnic minority group? Welp, must be Vietnamese.
Oh, your friends are Vietnamese? Welp, must be migrants.
