When do you think we will be in the 8?

a/ 2009 Should be the expectation.

Finals are a (slimmish) chance next year, but we should definitely make the 8 in 2009.

Next flag will be 2011 or 2012. We are one of only a few sides on the way up at the moment, with quite a few on the way down and a number treading water.

And i reckon we'll need fev in order to get one, or perhaps two...:thumbsu:

1. 2008 needing all the luck in the world if not realistically 2009

2. 2010 - 12

3. Both will play in the next Carlton Premiership absolutely
 
We should be in the 8 @ earliest next year, if not in '09

We would be a slight chance of being premiers in '09

and should definitely be in the mix between '10 - '12, '13, '14, '15......... !!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly.
In regards to Fev, I can really see him pulling his head in quite a bit next year. Why? A club legend coaching the Carlton who I am sure he has the upmost respect for, Chris Judd joining the club, and wanting to be part of a successful team.

I hope we can make the 8 next year, but maybe im dreaming, but at least 9-11 if we miss out, anything worse I won't be happy.

I hope we can win a premiership in 2011.... maybe thats premature, hopefully our back line is back to where it should be

our forward line, midfield is looking great... just back line worries me!

So after murphy, gibbs, and Kreuzer are about to, or have retired? You don't rate the last three number ones or something?

Or is this more of a tarot card outlook?
 
With Judd, Stevens, Gibbs, Murphy, Simpson, Walker, Hadley, Fevola, Waite, Fisher, Betts, Scotland, Kruezer, O'Hailpin, Carrazzo and Thornton we would have to be a very good chance of making the finals next year. In reality we were not really far off the top 8 in terms of talent and competitiveness just a bit young, but with the new additions and the young kids a year on i expect us to be a real bolter and make the 8, and yes i am biaised aren't we all but i genuinely think we are a very good chance, and a Premiership threat starting 2010. I think we are better (2008) than Richmond, Essendon, Melbourne, Bulldogs, Kangaroos, Adelaide and roughly equal with Brisbane and Sydney and Collingwood and if that proves to be right we will be in the 8.

i dont wanna seem like i'm not proud of my club, or excited about any of our recent signings, because of course i am. i'm just not confident at this point in time. i'll be very very happy to revise my statement if/when we win a bunch of matches in a row next year.

I think Carlton will make the 8 in 2010,
Next time you will be in a position to have a tilt at the flag will be 2014
