Houston drops 53 on Kobe

I often see Allan Houston called a hack, but really, hacks aren't capable of dropping 53 on Kobe, whilst going 19-28

Yes, Houston is one-dimensional, and yes, he is overpaid, but man, can the guy light it up.

I'd rate him the best streak shooter in the league, and one of the best pure shooters as well.

Houston's shooting streak today came at a bad time for the Lakers. With Shaq restricted by injury, they might be in for a bad few weeks.

Kobe may have to step up, if he can any more.

He is averaging 42.0ppg over the last 9 games.

It was good to see Allan step up and go right at the Lakers with the big fella out. Hopefully his confidence will remain high for the rest of the season and maybe we can sneak into the playoffs. Consistancy has given Houston a bad rap in NY so hopefully he can drop 30 or so on Portland tomorrow.

Shaq goes down and Kobe cant do it at both ends. Sure Kobe got 40 himself but if he cant do the job defensively on Houston then his 40 means nothing.

Lakers drop 2 in a row now. Knicks are actually in the playoff picture

How funny would it be if the Rockets had a really poor offensive game against the LAkers and only managed to score 53 points. THen someone could post the thread:

Given their horrid start it does seem wrong. But to be fair they were without their best player. With Spree, they are over .500 for the year, without him I think they went something like 1-17?? Just bad.
