how did trent croad make all-aus?

i can still never undestand why Trent Croad got the All-Aus in 05......
He didnt even play centre half back in the second half of the season, he played alright in the first half of the season but then played forward from the Adelaide game onwards and that was in round 12..
he was very lcky to get it.... it should of been easily Matty Mcguire to be all-aus

Try watching the game, maybe you'll have a clue next season. He didn't play "alright" in the first half of the season, he was clearly the best CHB in the competition.

croad made it bec he deserved it , end of story! matty mc is a good defender, but really he is a hbf, he isnt the right size for a chb

considering the hawks were beaten by 120 odd points, 7 goals really was not that bad. i thought, considering the amount of ball port had in their forward line that night, croad did pretty much everything he could. i would blame most of his goals that night on hawthorns lack of midfield presence, not croad.
also, it was really, the only time you could argue he was beaten all season.
he did a reasonable job on pavlich, before going off injured.

I watched 21/22 Hawks games, 150+ games this season, so I think i would have a pretty good opinion on this year.

Trent Croad well deserved AA selection, therefore had a very under-rated season. He was CHB in my team since the mid-way mark.

Geez pal, players can still get possesions in the fowardline you know. I think who ever made this thread is trying to say that Croad was in the fowardline for half of this year and therefore did not deserve AA CHB because he spent only about half the year in backline. Get over your Croad obsession and get back to work!
