We have now implemented a change into the way this works. Temporary 'bans' are now no longer banned, people who receive such infractions will now be 'suspended'. This allows the user to read the site but cannot change content and cannot receive pm's, except from staff. They will be able to view their warnings. Suspended users can respond to such private conversations. It's much like the old red card system.Any way to change the permissions? It's a terrible quirk. You don't even know what you're banned for until your ban expires.
People who have existing bans will not have their status changed, this affects users going forward only.
Permaban users will still have the same access, although we are making more effort to have meaningful messages on the banned screen.
