Ok, I have deposited more than I can ever imagine into betfair over the last 5 years... Now today with my ANZ First credit card I have noticed a fee called 'INCL OVERSEAS TXN FEE 4.50' whacked onto my $150.00 deposit and a INCL OVERSEAS TXN FEE 2.25 whacked onto my $75.00 deposit.

This is new and only within the last week. So I warn anyone out there who uses ANZ FIRST cc and betfair to be wary of this (it's a joke).

So I am looking for an alternate method to use which pretty much gets the cash in asap. I can't use poly as I have a mac and it doesnt work on A) firefox b) safari c) old IE for macs (plus it takes 15mins to go in there).

Whats your thoughts?!

I have a credit card but prefer Poli or Moneybookers....I can highly recommend Moneybookers if youa re transferring $$$ around a number of bookies

Also use Bpay if I dont need the funds in there instantly

Set-up an automated BPay through your bank account. It works very well and takes the stress out of manual deposits. And if you need a quick injection of funds, cop the fee for the convenience factor.

I too use Poli for depositing into australian accounts

Sometimes use Moneybookers, but from what I see they do charge some additional fees as well.

If your patient enough bank transfers usually take 1 business day, if your prepared to wait around (and not been charged fees)

rarely deposit by credit card , they charge a 1.5% Fee

not being able to use poli would deter me away from mac's forever (if I wasn't already)

I had the same issue.. I was using credit cards on Betfair all the time when there wasnt a fee, then suddenly I got charged and thought screw that and havent deposited there since..

Id probably reconsider when the live betting laws get changed because when I call up on betfair the guys there are too slow and match me with shit odds all the time :thumbsd:

One of the reason's I stayed way from BetFair and the international run sites was transfer fees.

I use SportingBet now, and use my PayPal account to transfer money in and out of the account. Thanks to the BigFooty tipping comp I haven't needed to deposit for a while though.:thumbsu::)

Just changed over to SportingBet today, so i'll see how that pans out.

Any tricks/tips would be apreciated:thumbsu:

Just using BPAY at the moment but I might have to chase up my PayPal account again.

Thinking my $200- free bet might look good on Whobe, spewing as today I was keen to throw it Flying Tessie but thought that since I only had it for 20minutes i'd at least give it a chance to settle.

Would have paid $3.50 best odds and with $200 taken back out from SB still would have been sitting pretty.

Did the $10,000 free bets prize come with any conditions... like you had to use 10x$1000 bets? or can you just bet whatever amount you want?

I won 2nd in the tipping comp, and got $6,000, which had to be used in 3 x $2,000 bets.

If you won anything off those bets, you got the winnings, but the initial outlay was returned to SportingBet.

I had one win out of 3 bets (on the GG's at Sandown), and made a fair amount, which then had to be turned over again in order to withdraw my winnings.

I turned my money over by backing the Doggies to beat the Lions in the 2nd week of the finals, I was rather nervous that night.:)

wow cool story :)

I wonder if the winner had 5 x $2000 bets. It's no mean feat turning over $10k, but sure wouldn't mind doing it.

poli is the best......it goes instantly into you desired account.....except on betfair it takes 30 minutes and you can only do it 9am-5pm
everywhere else it runs 24hrs instant deposit
also sportsbet does not charge for credit card deposts
