both google and amazon are US companies and are catering to their people first. plus the fact that licensing agreements would be very hard (google took ages to get 3 of the big 4 to agree on google music hosting their catalogues) plus apple has had a BIG time advantage on the other two.

Apple is a US company as well.
Sure Google is geographically based in the US, but I'd like to think operate internationally too. I think that was the whole advantage of the net.

Exactly! Google is humongous, bigger than the record companies themselves and even Apple, so I thought they would've been ok with signing up with Google when they announced they're moving into Music. But that doesn't justify anything. The point is I just can't see why these guys can operate overseas like iTunes can. Would be beneficial to all Australians who shop online for MP3s.

If it's licensing I wonder how Apple did it. :(

You can always do it via a VPN, try http://hotspotshield.com/ it's free

Nice, but I don't think they'll accept aussie credit cards. Might try paypal though.

I've got access to Google Music and they're software just can't buy music yet.
