Probably our best win since the infamous Adelaide victory.

It'd be great to make the finals, but if we win our final two games and still miss, it's still great to finish the season with 8 from 11, and a definite feel of Hawthorn a few years back, maybe 2006, when they finished strong and went on to make the finals the next year.

Ending with 11 and a half wins after a disaster 2007, would be an awesome way to end 2008. Finals would be sweet, but it is out of our hands to a certain degree.

To be honest it was the least satisfying win of the year. Our season ended with defeat at Adelaide and the fact that 45,000 turned up for what was in essence a nothing game says a lot about our core support.

We were 11th and in effect out of the running and Hawthorn are already totally focussed on the Bulldogs in the QF. It is lovely to beat he 2nd in the ladder but i frankly do not read a whole lot into it either for us or them.

yehh i'm not really celebrating it ... if we dont make the finals then all this win is, is a stepping stone towards next year .. if we make finals i will celebrate this victory

Lets hope that we can keep the fighting spirit alive and well for the last 2 games in the home and away season. Then see where we are at after that. Fingers crossed its in the finals.

Absolutely right. Freo is our last home game and hopefully we can get at least 30,000 there to roar us home. a win there and other R 21 results going our way would make the performance against he hawks worthwhile.

Geez, certain tiger supporters aren't happy when we win as well as when we lose. Maybe a draw will satisfy.

Come on: "I'm not going to celebrate the win". Why the hell not?

"It was as satisfying as the infamous win against adelaide".

Seriously, we ran all day and played with passion.

I think that after twenty odd years of failure, negativity is built in to this generation of tiger supporters and even a win is a "grey day".

Snap out of it folks. We beat a top team and showed a heap of promise and talent. Regardless of where we end this year - the future is finally bright.

exactly. i dont care if they didnt kick straight, they were preparing for september - thats all crap. we outplayed them for most of the match and when the momentum swung thier way they failed to capitalise. we won, we deserved to win, we deserve to be happy about it.
