How good is Troy Simmonds?

So how good is he? Being a one-eyed tiger fan, I actually don't know much about him. Is he going to be an adequate replacement for Ottens?

I remember he tore us up when we played Freo at the MCG last year, but will be played as a no.1 ruckmen while resting in the forward line.

I was there and he carved us a new ahole!!! Too big too strong and a decent kick for goal.


Will do more for us than ottens ever did.

he is better than Ottens

He can take a strong mark and kicks more goals that what Ottens had done for us in the past 3 years.

He might not be as strong as Ottens in the Ruck, but he can still play well from this position.

I think you did well snagging him as a replacement for Ottens. Freo screwed up big time thinking Sandilands is going to get any better. Simmonds contract length is a worry though.

I agree RE Simmonds contract length but apparently his getting a bit less than what Otto was actually on which is OK.

Re Fiora, St Kilda are not going to deny they got srewed over in that deal, however it was either lose black for nothing in PSD or get something out of him.

We were going to trade pick 20 for Simmo, but only had to offload Fiora which worked out fantastic for us.
