How do you think he's been handling the constant pressure of being an AFL senior coach?

Were the retirements of Bolton, Heff and Campo his doing? Were they going to go, either way?

Do you think he has been rather unprofessional in his sacking of Dean Wallis and Gary Ayres?

Please post your answers :thumbsu:

I think he's been great :thumbsu:

Unprofessional? Whatd he do that was unprofessional?

great of course. theres no one better to replace a richmond captain then a richmond captain :D

He hasn't even done anything at all (except for getting rid of wallis and ayres. They were leaving anyway.) how can we judge him when he's only been head coach for 2 weeks.

Wait untill the start of the season, at least then we can see what progress he's done.

Hasn't done anything to displease me at the moment. If he does the right thing and gets rid of Bradley then he'll definately be in my good books

Public Polls people!

Guys.

When making polls make them public like SOT4 suggested so you can see who voted for what.

Otherwise all that happens is the opposition supporters vote for the worst possible scenario and they end up being a complete waste of time.

Like the last one that was raised and the votes stated our next premiership won't be for over 10 years.

IF you are unsure how to make them public, just ask.

The results will be skewed because its not a public poll -- opposition supporters can vote and no one knows.

Edit -- Beat me to the punch Murvey!

Id say he is off to a promising start. I think the players wouldve been pushed to retire. Im confident he is trying to do the right thing by the club and geniunely wants to be an essendon man. However im a little worried about trade week im thinking other coaches may try to take advantage of him and try to screw us but i think we are more likely to come out ok..I think matchday coaching will be shaky at the beginning but will pick up. Experienced assistants are required.

How the older players are used i think will be key. Im all for the youngins getting a crack but i dont want them left out to get smashed. you need to play a 70/30 split atleast. I think he will use JJ a fair bit. Less keen on Pev.

Mostly pleased with how he is going so far.

Getting rid of Ayres was a very good move IMO and so far the delistings have been going well...

Although I wasn't very happy about losing Wallis (was he going to go anyway???) Also, putting GO'D in charge of the defence or the "defensive aspects" assistants role. As i have already said in another thread wasn't the midfields main problem (whilst he was in charge of it) the defensive aspects of the game?? Sheparding/blocking, accountability etc.

Anyway only time will tell.

I voted undecided because even though i keep my ear close to the ground I cannot cast a solid opinion. I will say we were all shocked here in Bkk and the bomber contingent not really happy with the appointment initially. I might keep track more of the AFL news and sites than others here but they have taken some calming.

Nonetheless, since his appointment I have reflected on the past 30 years, and our club cannot to afford the worst of all Richmond legacies and start throwing knives in the back. Our clud does not/should not do this. We must support the coach. He works for us. I remember the davis era and even though the media were not as magnified on the AFL/VFL it was still unpleasant reading the sniping.

Knights will be excellent for the middle brigade, often left wondering by Sheeds and for this I hold great hope in Knights. For those so keen to sack Bradley I would like to say that for me the best thing about Knights is that finally he will get a go and i shall enjoy those who have to eat their words 2008. In this example, and others, Knights' appointment will prove sage. Johns possibly to the back line (or trade), more time for the 2007 draftees and greater midfield ballgetting.

The threads for delisting and trades at this point do not really interst me because of the unreal speculations that get posted. however in a month or two we get to see a little clearer Knights focus for the club.

Half apologies offered for deviating from thread topic

It was good to see these players retired rather then delisted

So far, Wallis and Ayres out, i would of liked to see them stay, help the new guy out espcially Ayres. But if he thinks that he will work better without them then its cool
Good luck to him in 08
