It's not a "west" exclusive - they didn't break the story.

The fact is they dont send messages by carrier pigeon anymore.......and you know for a fact it was east coast eh?......and why would east coast media care or even remember who Farmer is?

This is just muddying things. The difference between Hunter and Farmer is that Farmer was caught doing something that doesn't relate directly to either his or the team's performance when he was playing for Freo. More importantly, neither does it reflect on the "culture" of the club. Whereas, what's happened with Hunter very much highlights and reinforces what was going on at WCE. Does that taint their last premiership win? - maybe, but to be fair, I think that WCE have learned a lesson and moved on from there.

There's no muddying - the premise of the thread was not about relevant club culture, but about the purple paranoia that the west is out to get Fremantle. As such, some pissant article of a few lines that straight out copied a release by an eastern states media is held up as proof of a "negative" article to deflect from Hunter.

It's a load of tripe. When the Hunter article came out well after the event the Freo howls were the West hid the truth. When the Farmer article comes out well after the event, it's all of a sudden some conspiracy to balance out the negative reports on WC

Seriously the paranoia is ridiculous. The amount of puff pieces on Freo I've seen across both the west and seven, including Nat Fyfe's flying a helicopter, you'd think the paranoia would be over....
