How many games will we win this year?

Having a look at the draw, it's hard to see us winning 6 games this year, so I'll say 5, but more than likely, it will be 4.

Round 18 v Melbourne will be interesting.

If we do not win another game, this match will be for #15 in a row....and a new club record.

Injuries aren't the problem, the recruiting is. Who's out - Davey & Lucas? Lucas I'll give you would make some difference but if you're relying on Alwyn Davey week in and out you've got big problems. Dons for spoon.

Go s****** elsewhere fukface!

I'm counting on 1 win out of Rounds 12-14: West Coast (h), Carlton (a), Fremantle (a).

If the current form continues,we have no hope...hell even it imporves, we wont beat carton or Freo @ subi...coasters over here we are a slight chance.
Personally i hope we dont finish last...i dont think Knights deserves to have that stigma in his first year, considering this predicament has come about due to the recriuting between 2002-2005, and a few injuries.

We're so far away from winning a game at the moment it's laughable (Melbourne inclusive)... It would be no where near surprising if we didn't win another...

i think we'll win another 2-3 game MAX. anyone saying otherwise isn't looking at our side realistically.

sad thing is i've already seen a mate of mine denounce his membership, i told him that "he wasn't a real supporter anyways and we're better off not having him as a supporter". finally i told him to go support carlton, i think that hurt him a bit. ;)

Re: Where there's manure, there's gotta be a pony

If we don't win any more games and end up last, do we get a priority pick?
We get a PP before the second round. For example if we finish 2nd last and the Demons last, Melbourne will receive a PP which would be pick 17 and we would receive pick 18. Then the second round would begin so Melbourne would then get pick 19 and we would receive pick 20. Similar to what happened in the 2006 draft.

While I would love to think we can pick things up in the second half of the season and end up with 6 - 8 wins, Im tipping we'll only win 1 or 2 more games this season. Incidently, Knight's estimate of 2010 for a tilt at the premiership would have to be re-evaluated as 2012 would be a fair estimate on what we've produced so far.

We would be struggling to put 2 more wins on the board this year. Our best football can match most teams but our disposal lets us down so much. A high draft choice would be worth finishing lower as the next couple of years kids are all but GAWN north of the border.

I think that we could win three more
If that was to happen I would be unhappy. 3 more wins removes the chance for us to get a valuable PP. Sure we should all be hoping to win, but the system in place promotes 'tanking' and lets be realistic, that in a year or two, one extra win in 2008 isnt going to change anything. In fact it would place Essendon at a disadvantage because we would have been denied a top 20 pick! Ridiculous, I know. 5 wins and I would be devastated. 7-8 and I can look past the PP. Anyway it seems unlikely that we will be getting 5 wins this year.

I am sick of hearing negative comments from essendon supporters. Be positive people, we're having a bad run with injuries, few players lacking confidence it doesn't hang around forever. I'm tipping 10 wins for the year.
The glass is half full.

Ok chief........I'll be positive........I think we have accomplished the target. 2 wins!!!!!!.......great stuff !

If you only go on our form right now, with effects of injuries and confidence at rock bottom you might think we'd struggle to win another. But history shows that form varies through a season and assuming our injury situation geta at least a little better we'd be a chance in these games
r12 vs Weagles - at home and always do well against them
r13 vs Carlt - if we got confidence booster week before
r14 vs Shockers - at Subi yes but are'nt you always a chance against Freo
r16 v Tigers-not on last weeks form but diito Freo
r18 vs Dees - they're far from a great side and if our young boys can get some confidence byAugust we'd be a show
r22 vs Saints-they might have lost a bit of interest by then

Thats about it but at least there is acluster of winnable games - not that I'd be very confident of any save r12 but I'd suggest we end up with 4-4 wins allup.
