We'll use one I believe. Cambo will be moved back onto the senior list of 38. This will leave 5 more spots on the rookie list that we can use given Foley is already on it.

We would be entitled to take 2 picks in the PSD draft, but only have to take one. So we will pass on the 2nd pick to save money and go into the season one player short.

Pattison won't be ready for years. Hall has been a flop whenever he has rucked. We are then down to Morrison, Gaspar or Schulz.
We need a body. Just someone with an AFL-ready body that can be thrown in for 10 games, or an occasional run off the bench. Someone who is ready to go and at least knows a bit about AFL that he can fill-in straight away.
Knobel is out of our price range it seems. Basically leaves us with McKee or Porter and McKee is the better fit of those 2.

Perhaps we can afford Knobel now that Zantuck is gone. It would just depend on how much we are paying Zantuck to leave.

Won't save us any money either, because it doesn't matter if we have 37 on the primary list PLUS Campbell or 38 on the primary list INCLUDING Campbell. It fulfills the requirment of 38 in both cases.

More like we paid him the difference between his Richmond salary and his nominated salary in the PSD, perhaps a bit more but not his entire salary.

He will nominate at the minimum rate ($40k) so we have to make up the difference ($160k) if he gets picked up. If not the full $200k. So with probably only 2 chances, and slim ones at that, he will want to make himself as cheap an option as possible.

Does anyone know what happens if you take a kid like Kirkby in the psd do, you have to sign him to a 2 year contract on minimum first year wage like the kids you get in the national draft?
Or can you get him at a discount on a 1 year contract like Weller was?

Kirkby would be picked up in the rookie draft not the PSD. Rookies get roughly $25K IIRC.
