Just thought i'd update you all on the status of our most famous turncoat, Fergus "the fungus" Watts.

After leaving a club where he'd have played AFL for two straight years now to be closer to Daddy despite the forward line already being loaded with youngsters far more talented than himself and eventually getting delisted Fergus has made the Victorian state team.

The only perhaps negative aspect is Fergus is playing in the Victorian Amateur Football League's State Team

Mr. Superstar can't even hack it in the VFL ...

Stenglein could well be delisted by years end. Kane Johnson has enjoyed the fruits of leaving aswell.

You Clown he did get a premiership out which he would of never got at the crows and he is no chance of getting delisted. Think before you say something. Johnson is having a great year this year and is a club captain. Adelaide footy club has done nothing great where these players would regret they're decision at all.

Super harsh. I saw an interview with him on Simply Footy last year where he said he'd just been in for his 14th surgery for yet another leg problem - he would've been 21 at the time.

While he was a dope, his body was the issue, not lack of talent.

FWIW, I rated the guy pretty highly and was very disappointed to see him leave. And he would have been lining up at CHF tomorrow had he stayed.

Does any-one remember that movie"Sliding doors"??

Basically the movie showed two alternative lives of a woman. One when she just caught a train before the doors slid back and the other when they slid back and closed before she could catch it. The 2 alternative lives were vastly different resulting from one situation.

If Watts were ever to see this movie he'd have to wonder what may have been if he hadn't decided to leave and go to St Kilda.

More than likely he'd be an established AFL CHF now rather than where he finds himself at.

While I was angry when Watts walked out on us, I think that Watts is more to be pitied rather than denigrated.

Has Stenglein progressed as a player since he left? Im aware he won a flag..
My delisting comment was made from comments made by Mike Sheahan ( yes he is a clown) on the couch after Braun retired.
And i am sure Johnson wishes he never left. He was highly respected at Adelaide at Richmond he has been belted from pillar to post by its supporters. Would you like me to supply links?

Players a totally diferent role at the eagles. Was one of the top dogs at crows midfield where at west coast wasn't in the top 4 but still did his job and was a big part of a premiership team. While he has a big chance this year to run a lot more in the midfield he has not gone that well. Probably a back flanker for the rest of his career but not delisted. Thats for sure

Stenglein was a run with player at Adelaide, not a top dog as you called him. Blokes like Roo, Goody, Macca, Edwards were our top dogs. We invested heavily in him and we ended up getting Scott Thompson for him who is twice the player. Im merely saying it is sad that he hasnt gone on and become the player we thought he was going to be.

But I am the one saying that and I stick to it. We have had quite a few players leave and none have hurt us. We won out of Stenglein. We won out of Meesen even if Moran doesnt play a game. We broke even with Watts as the bloke we drafted never played a game ( although Pfeiffer is still on a list). With Johnson we lost out. We ended up getting Carey for him which didnt work out. But Johnson hasnt really enjoyed any success at Tigerland and who knows what would of happened if he stayed with us? Im not saying we are the bees knees, Im just saying no one has left and hurt us, Fremantle style

I didnt say he regretted leaving. I said he could well be delisted at years end because he is nowhere as a player. Im just saying what Mike Sheahan said 3 weeks ago on the couch. And I agree, he wouldnt regret leaving cause of the flag he now has.
