Hi, Bulldogs supporter here, but I have always had a soft spot for the Tigs (best mate is a Tigs follower and we went to almost every Tigers game when I was still in Melbourne)

I know a lot of you guys have already "accepted" coming last this year and getting the draft picks, but what do you guys think is the exact problem with the team? It cant just be Frawley as the Tigers have been an up and down team for the past 8 years at least. Brilliant 1 week, shocking the next.

You seem to have a good midfield (although campbell seems to be slowing a bit) and have 2 very good ruckmen in Ottens and Stafford. Down back you have Gasper (who is shockingly over paid but on his day one of the best defenders) and Kellaway who should be able to control oppositions attacks. Up front you have Richo (ppl love to bag him, but I think he is used wrong as a FF.) who is a gun and have Ottens coming in occassionally to make things difficult for the other team. Also got good crumbers for the forward line in Rodan and Krakour (sp??)

So I pose the question, what the hell is wrong with this side? 75 point losses at home to a team with no wins is a disgrace. Is it just that the team plays with no passion? If so how will changing a coach help that? Most of the players already have that "attitude" stuck in their head, so im not sure it will help. What can be done to make this side a side pushing for the 8 like it should?

It's a long way back now.

The other question is how much psychological damage has been done...and whether that can be fixed.

1....Don't play injured players. (Cogs)
2....Go back to man on man...accountable footy.
3....we're slow.... get faster, fitter players and kick long.
4.... No more trades...draft 'em.
5...make tough decisions on ALL the guys who are past it.

Agree with DDT's points.

Tonight IMO was the worst Richmond side I have ever seen (and yes worse than those late 80's/early 90's teams). In a very substandard game, we made an average side look like champions. A top side would have bet us by 20 goals. We are just plain stupid and just plain lazy. Our turnovers need to be seen to be believed. 27 clangers to half-time for a side that hardly got its hands on the footy. Pathetic! We do not work for each other, there's never any run, nothing! When we do get the ball we either stuff around with it and play static footy or if we do try to play direct we just stick the ball under the arm, run as far as we can then bomb it long to noone. Either way we hand it straight back to the opposition and end up chasing shadows. Thick as two bricks we are

We need someone to come in and drill in us how to modern percentage footy. Unless Danny and the rest of the "coaching" panel resigns then that ain't going to happen until next year. I refuse to believe that it's that hard to get/educate 22 guys to perform the fundamentals of footy. They shouldn't be in a VFL side otherwise let alone an AFL one.
