ok myself and russian are starting a new football game
here are the rules
RULES
Team allocation
· Users are able to select an AFL Team within the 48 hours allocated
· Any team not picked the players will go into the preseason draft
· You may move you team to any part of Australia and New Zealand. You can also change the name and team colors. (must let me now before draft list put out)
List size
· Team sizes are MIN 35 player Max 38
THE LISTS WE R USING ARE FroM THE START OF THE 2003 SEASON
Draft and trading
· The draft order will be decided by me picking teams names out at a random order
· Once draft orders are complete you may trade
· Trade week only lasts 1 week like the real thing.
· Exceptions will be made if the teams approach me via email or msn. (Max extension is 1day)
· The draft will be done over 1 weekend starting Friday ending Monday night.
· The draft will be done via msn or email with live round by round post on bigfooty.
· There will be 7 rounds
· With the system going – FRIDAY- 1 round SATURDAY- 3 rounds SUNDAY- 2 rounds Monday - 1 round
· Each round will have an allocated time e.g. 1pm to 5pm
· Each team MUST make 3 selections
· Delisted players will go into the preseason draft
Salary cap
After all the draft and trading has been finished then we go into were this game is unique. Every player has been given a approximate value per year. With all your players combined you must have a salary cap of $6,500,000 or less. You total salaries MUST be posted before the date announced. Veterans are exempt (only 2 per team must be over 30)
Press Releases
Each team is required to post 3 compulsory press releases.
The first one must be about the 2 drafts ( national and preseason).
The second must be you team list and total salary cap.
Finally the third must be about the team in general e.g. coach changes, starting teams for both VFL (if your team is in it) and AFL. And also leadership appointments.
