I wouldn't start worrying about that yet. I wanted to get the original Desire when I got my newest phone back in September, but then the Samsung Galaxy S came out right when I was looking for my new phone, so I ended up getting that instead.

I have 4 months left on my contract with 3, I want to get the HTC Desire HD but would much rather it now than in April, is it possible for me to commit to them for 2 more years and get this phone now?

Sign in to My3 at the three website and it has an upgrade tab. It will tell you what it would cost you to upgrade to various handsets.

I believe that 4 months left is too long for them to waive, I think they only do it for the last 2 months of your contract.

That said, sometimes they will do it earlier but that's generally when they send the offer to you.

I think retail they're going for just shy of 900.* But even on Ebay they were going for over 800 not too long ago.

Got mine yesterday, **** I love it. So damn good, shits on my iPod Touch and even more on my E71.

Only problem is wifi and the 200MBs of usage, I'm already at 4.2% because my wifi won't connect for some stupid reason, I'm sitting about a metre away from the router and says out of range.

Apart from that and not being able to make a HTC Sense account, I am in love.
