Frightening or exciting?

Potential disasterous or life saving?

Human cloning will happen no doubt about that.
But the question is in 50 years are we going to see a population of.
Perfectly healthy individuals that have benifited from cloning through ability to gain lost limbs or heathly hearts.
Or will we see many of the same, will the gene pool drop off so much that we are forced to clone for our own survival?
Will we see governments cloning millions of millions of super humans for wars?
Who is to stop manipulation of the genes to create super humans?
And will someone we consider beautiful no longer be a elle because every second woman you meet is her clone, but will it become in perfections?

The questions go on
In my opinion forget nuclear power and ever the wheel no invention/progression has more of a potential to enrich of destroy human life

It makes me sick. These white coat scientist freaks should go ^&#&*&*@#*(@*#

Human cloning is pathetic!

We were made the way we were, why bother changing it? It seriously freaks me out to know that someone could grow up exactly like me (appearance wise) and not be me. I think that its morally wrong.

The experiment will back fire badly and will, in all probability be called off for the time being.

If you remember the Dolly the Sheep storyvfrom 1997, what they din't tell you at the time was that the research team went through ten attempts before Dolly was successfully born.

Those 'attempts' were basically sheep foetus' that were so grossly deformed that they had to be aborted.

The same problems will occur with a human being, the experiment won't be a success and will be called off amidst a pile of grossly deformed human foetus'

cheery thought huh ?

277 attempts to create dolly the sheep
at least we will be able to easily identify clones, their belly-buttons are huge, a side effect

for those of us who beleive in god we will never participate in such stupidity, there is a better way to create life, sex.

There has to be a limit to science, this was not natures plan, who knows what will happen, mad cow disease is the result of human genetic stupidity, by feeding cows the altered remains of other cows, cannibal cows, it has now spred to other animals as well as humans, being responsible for the death of some people in europe.

We shouldnt play god, and if you dont beleive in god we shouldnt alter nature,

i beleive that eventually we will pay for this stupidity, if you play with fire you will get burnt

These arguments that we shouldn't do things because they are not God's wishes, or they are not natural are really stupid.

If you believe in God, are religious:-
Then why did god make man smart enough to be able to make these leaps in scientific ability?

or

If you are not religious, do not believe in god:-
Why did man evolve with a brain that could make him master of the beasts and the planet, why did man evolve with a brain that could make discoveries that could destroy our own enviroment?

or

If you believe in fate, destiny:-
Then everything that happens is suppose to happen, why fight it?
simple, because you were fated to be rebels against advancement, lol

simple, we were given intellegence to better ourselves and to choose right from wrong but also to also HAVE that choice,

if you agree with cloning where do you draw the line at something being wrong?
can we genetically alter humans too?
if so why cant we make clones for war, it will save us real humans?
if so why cant we make genetic humans perfected to kill, what do we do once they have performed thier missions? kill them? give them life? lock them up?
etc
there has to be a line somewhere
and the worlds major religions agree that we have crossd it
if you dont beleive in god, well you must be on of the 5% of people that consider the other 95% insane

Once again I think the technology is galloping along so fast now that it tends to make nice, comfortable and theological arguements about right and wrong completely obsolete.

The only thing that will stop this is the limitations of the technology (and believe me there are some very big limitations)

Moral arguements will just get left behind.

Who has time to think about right and wrong when the actual physical realioty of what we are doing is here and now and happening as we speak ?

Religious organisations have in the past attempted to deny scientific fact and have actively sought to stifle human scientific and technical enbdeavour.

Its was an abject failure in the past - it will be likewise these days.

cheers

I RECKON I SHOULD BE CLONED JUST TO SAVE THE WORLD OF ALL YOU SICK BASTARDS!!!
