CULCAIRN! CULCAIRN! CULCAIRN! CULCAIRN!

What a f*&^knob club. Jeez i hope you bastards get belted by 10 goals in the GF. Your about the only club i'd rather see Osborne win another one over. Reminicent of Lockhart in 99 the way you're just talking yourselves into a flag.

Whats happened to the thread boys? No mention of the Coreen-Picola merger falling apart, effectivley enabling AFL NSW/ACT to shag up a relativley well organised Hume? What about the shmozzle that is Brock/Burrum, have they got a hope? Anyone think Howlong can threaten the top 2? Whether Walla can overcome terrible bad luck and squeeze into the top 5? Somebody just write something thats not pinned to the side of a wagon to Culcairn overflowing with s^&t.

swamp creature... ease up a bit old mate. Like you, I too have had a gutfull of hearing about Culcairn, but perhaps we should be p---ed off at the other clubs. Without the Culcairn crap, & thats what it is, there would be nothing on this site. Lets hear from some other clubs. I believe the Lions have a huge weakness, which may be found out this week. HOWLONG by 30pts.

Sounds like a couple of Swampies are becoming a little bitter and twisted - things aren't going quite according to plan boys??? No one's been talking about this year's flag not sure where you got that one from. You and Bowwow are the only ones confirming our spot in the GF (thanks for the compliments boys - but we're not getting ahead of ourselfs just yet Bowwow).:thumbsu:

Well, the mighty Lions have tasted defeat. One of the better games of bush footy I have seen. Great pressure from the Spiders saw a few experienced Lions crumble. Costly turnovers, undisciplined play & a lack of respect from some of their more senior members handed Howlong a much deserved victory... Having Gilson, Kotzur & Donnan on the bench during the last term seemed ridiculous. HEY LIONS.. YOU ARE NOT THAT GOOD... Even you need your STARS on the ground. WELL DONE HOWLONG!

Walla finally got their needed win beating Jindera by about 30 points!!! so the next question is who is going to take 5th spot Walla have probably got the the best draw for the next three games against BB Saints, Murry Magpies and Holbrook... Jindera got the worst with Howlong,RW and Henty then RW have Culcairn, Jindera and BB Saints so Walla have got the chance to skip a few games in front over the next few weeks anyone else think who might take at 5th

What is that correct retrac? kotzur, donnan and gilson on the pine when it mattered? Has klemke lost his marbles??

did howlong have a full side? From what i heard cul had a few out, the loss prob did wonders for culcairn, some of the blokes walking around with big heads thinking the flags already theirs, may be back down on earth.

Well every team has now played each other, so time for a very quick midseason report on every team through my eyes

Osborne - Favourites (yet again)
Culcairn - Overachieving/Overated
Howlong - Doing enough to cause some worry for Osborne
Henty - Pretenders
Rand/Walb - Crumbling from the inside
Jindera - Over the hill
Walla - Underachieving
Lockhart - Rebuilding
Holbrook - Rebuilding
Mur. Magpies - Establishing
BB Saints - It has been discovered that no word in the dictionary can describe the rabbles that is the BB Saints Football club

Thoughts?
Dissagreements?

Not too sure about howlong having a full side GK but i dont think culcairn had a full side (not saying this for an excuse for a loss). I was told from a friend that works at the border mail that cul was without Hartley (work commitments) and Gostello (Shoulder reconstruction??? i think?) Is that right Daicos Fan?

Kage i think that R/W could challenge Cul this week as they will be missing key players kotzur, gilson, kade klemke, gostello. Their hard at it style of footy can really challenge the style of play cul plays! If they are disciplined enough to go hard without being 'stupid' cul will have a real fight!

I think you will find that Gostello had a calf strain not shoulder injury.

Not sure what klemke was thinking. Maybe he had enough on his mind & his staff stuffed up. Yes, his star recruits certainly spent considerable time on the pine. As for not being full strengh, I would doubt if any team was injury free at this stage of the season. Perhaps the lions should look hard at their "passengers" because they certainly have a few & yesterdays heroes wont win tomorrows finals.:thumbsd:

Not bad 01234 ... Osborne would definitely be favourites. hard to see anyone go close to them at full strength.
Dont believe Culcairn are overachieving, but I do feel that what weve seen is all theyve got.
Howlong have plenty of firepower but suspect in defence.Could put Culcairn out of race.
Henty.. nuisance value. could cause upsets but will not make Grand Final. Weak defence.
Forget the rest.

well, well, well. its seems that we have a new country football expert by the name of ******! oops sorry retrac. so from now on if you have any questions regarding hot topics such as flag favourties, underacheivers and who is pretending, just post it to retrac.
p.s strong rumour going around that if retrac keeps posting hard hitting threads, could soon get the call up to be seated next to king carey, hutchy and g.lyon on footy classified.sounds like the sort of bloke who would really hit it off with the delightful caro.keep up the good work son.

Bit harsh on Jindera man01234 i would think. From all reports playing the kids with a couple of older heads around to support them. Rebuilding better then any side i would think. Do you feel Walla is underachieving or unlucky. The injuries they have had would floor any of the top three sides. Other then those two very good assessment.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Hope that response is a bit of banter between mates, otherwise what a terrible post. Good job retrac, allways good to read someone elses thoughts.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Walla hasnt really had that many injuries as people think, Mcglynn's out for the season and Whiterod missed about 5 games, then there's the younger Brunnenmeyer and Vanderventer but thats about it, they are top players but they wouldnt have made up the 100 point difference against Howlong or the loss to Rand/Walb or Lockhart. I caught the Culcairn game, that was closer than the scoreboard suggested, was pretty much even at half-time and then Culcairn just pulled away in the last quarter. With the quality of the other players in the side they really should Challenge the top teams but for some reason they really cant seem to click. I'd love to see them have a great second half of the season and make the finals, some top blokes out there! Good group of younger blokes with a sh*tload of potential too.

I agree to there being a good group of youner talent at walla to some extent... Blokes like A Garlick and T Webb wouldnt fit into that load of potential you were suggesting, however both their younger brothers are showing more than those boys these days! Micky Carrol and Sawyer are not really making much of an impact... seconds players at best if they were playing with one of the top of the table sides!!!

I think you might have missed some there when whiterod got injured their seconds ruckman come up he also got injured so for about 2 too 3 games they were playing with out a ruckman then they also have being missing their best tagger T Ellis for the last 2 to 3 weeks, they also had Hibberson and Crocker and T Nixon out vs culcairn so i do think if thoughs 3 had of played they would have won.. and i think that whiterod, brunnenmeyer and Vanderventer would have made the difference against Rand and Lochart.. When you play games with out a proper ruckman and a quality one i believe that they can make a difference... But i do agree with you against Howlong i think it wouldn't have mattered at all

I think you haven't been looking at Wallas best too much so far this year i think you would find that Mick Carrol has been named there quiet a bit

That isnt saying much....as there isnt many quality players that are stringing games together out at walla! Micky has just been playing a loose man in defence, most people that can play the game can get a few kicks when doing this and in a team like walla if you get a couple of kicks they name you in the best! Ive seen some players named in there best that most people regard as JUST players to make up the 22!

actually i'm pretty sure you'll find he's got the best forward every week and he's done a pretty decent job, only had one bag kicked on him and that was Renner from Lockhart who had 8 i think
